Key Features
  • FUJIFILM G Mount
  • 87mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • Aperture Range: f/2 to f/22
  • Four Extra-Low Dispersion Elements
An ideal lens for portraiture, the GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR from FUJIFILM is a short telephoto, 87mm-equivalent prime for the G-mount GFX camera system. Its bright f/2 maximum aperture affords extensive control over depth of field for working with selective focus techniques, and also benefits working in low-light conditions. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm also contributes to pleasing bokeh quality to suit shallow depth of field imagery. The sophisticated optical design employs four extra-low dispersion elements to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for a high degree of clarity and contrast. Additionally, benefitting handling the lens is a linear autofocus motor that is both quick and quiet, and an internal focusing mechanism limits the overall lens length during use as well as maintains consistent image quality throughout the focusing range. The lens is also dust-, freeze-, and weather-resistant and features a manual aperture ring for intuitive exposure adjustment as well as a Command position for camera-based control over the aperture.

Love this lens first foray into medium format and images that this thing produces are just awesome.

Superb Optical Quality

Xlnt at F2 and superb sharpness and contrast at f2.8-f11. Wonderful color and clarity. Xlnt bokeh. AF is very speedy for medium format - significantly-hugely better than the 80/1.7 and 63/2.8.

This lens is a beast as some have said but not overly crazy. Insanely sharp as typical Fuji Lenses are. I love it and beautifully made!

Best lens in the system

In my very humble opinion, if you do not have this lens in your kit, you're not getting everything you can out of the GFX.

This lens is a beast

Yes, it is a beast in terms of size as well as image quality. If you are looking for an 85mm equivalent for your GFX camera look no further. The photos from this lens are nothing short of spectacular. I honestly have nothing to complain about and am looking forward to spending a lot more time creating images with it for my clients.

Phenomenal Lens

This is my first step into telephoto lenses, after using a normal lens for the past few years. What a world! Very interesting contrast, very interesting depth of field possibilities. I work with the FUJIFILM MCEX-18G WR Macro Extension Tube for my macro shots, and it integrates well with this lens. Stunning for portraiture, and so much fun for still life. Minor warning - this is a very heavy lens, and a very wide barrel. It isn't a dream to use handheld on the GFX 50R's rangefinder form. The payoff to the discomfort is worth it to me though - extraordinary image quality at a highly competitive price-point.

Before I bought this lens I was aware there is a slight thumb inside the lens which has been reported by other customers. Had to return the first sample because the thumbing was just too obvious even with the lens attached and several images were distorted. The second sample was better. I can't imagine the floating element will not affect the focus.

I am considering a 120 macro for floral and close-up photography. I'm wondering if the 110 plus the 45 G WR extension tube would give me good floral/macro PLUS portraiture. I admittedly don't do many portraits, but would this idea give me a good two-for-one over just the 120 macro? I don't recall seeing photos of the 110 with macro-tube extension.
Asked by: Charles
While you would not need an extension tube for portraiture photography, you may use the Fujifilm GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR Lens for portraiture, and you may add the use of the FUJIFILM MCEX-45G WR Macro Extension Tube so you may use the Fujifilm GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR Lens for close-up macro photography usage needs. The focal length would be slightly shorter than using the 120mm lens, but it would still be a good combination if you prefer the wider 110mm focal length for your portraiture usage needs. I think you'll be happy with the combination.

Just received the lens. Straight out of the box, while not attached to the camera, the elements within the lens clunk back and for the when tilting the lens from end to end. Is this happening with all of your lenses as well? It’s as if the glass isn’t secured inside the lens and is free floating down the focal length.
Asked by: Kim
Yes, that is a normal occurrence with this and other lenses.

question

How to calculate MF DOF for crop and FF MF?
Asked by: Benjamin S.
I suggest forgetting the word crop and crop factor. Please just go by what size your imager is, film or digital. On line you can find DOF calculators. Here is a good one. https://bit.ly/2AhsdN9Enter the sensor size, the lens mm, the aperture and the focus distance and you will have your Depth of Field. As a motion picture camera assistant, I calculated DOF dozens of times a production day. If I can do it, so can you.

Why does the listing specify this as 87mm (35mm Equivalent) when it's a 110mm lens? Typo?
Asked by: Jeffrey
All lenses are rate in terms of a full frame lens. So the FUJIFILM GF 110mm f/2 R LM WR Lens with UV Filter Kit is made for a medium format camera. So that lens on that camera is more like a 87mm lens. If you could put that on a full frame lens it would be 110mm.
