BenQ MH530FHD overview

  • 1Description

Show your presentations in nearly any environment with the BenQ MH530FHD 3300-Lumen Full HD DLP Projector. Its 3300 lumens of brightness will overcome ambient light in many situations, while its 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio will help keep images and text clear and distinct. Its 1.28 to 1.56:1 throw ratio and 1.2x zoom offer a range of installation options.

The MH530FHD has RCA component, S-Video, two VGA, and two HDMI inputs to support various types of video sources. Its VGA output will allow you to daisy-chain multiple projectors or displays to allow them to show the same video source. A built-in 2W speaker eliminates the need for a separate speaker system, but the projector also features an 1/8" audio output to connect external speakers. It is controllable via USB and RS-232, and includes a VGA cable and IR remote control.

Brightness & Contrast

3300 Lumens of Brightness for Clear Images
3300 lumens of brightness help provide comfortable lights-on presentations in well-lit meeting rooms. The high luminance boosts picture quality with enhanced color for pictures and videos, as well as crisp text and details.
15,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio for Enhanced Detail
The projector's 15,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, enabled by DLP technology and an all-glass 5G optical lens system, helps deliver augmented clarity, smooth gradational mid-tone color transitions, and sharp readability.

Designed for Intuitive Operation

Dual HDMI and VGA Inputs
Dual HDMI inputs, in addition to dual VGA inputs, are purpose-engineered to host multiple presenters and their laptop or mobile devices. Multiple inputs enable meeting participants, teachers, and students to collaborate instantly without adapters or time-consuming IT support.
Vertical Keystone Correction for Aligned Images
Countering the trapezoid effect when the projector must be placed off-center, such as placement on top of a table, the vertical keystone function adjusts the image for a squared-off image. Keystone correction makes it simple to project aligned images from a variety of locations.
Adjustable Feet
The projector's triple adjustment feet help enhance flexibility in a variety of meeting rooms, with the additional feet placed at the corners of the projector to facilitate easy movement.
Designed for Room-to-Room Portability
The cabinet is designed to resist dirt and fingerprints as the projector is moved from one room to another, and the remote-control layout helps simplify picture adjustment to the new room.

Eco-Friendly Design

SmartEco Mode
Detecting the input content to determine the amount of brightness required for optimum color and contrast performance, SmartEco Mode reduces lamp power while delivering suitable image quality.
Eco Blank Mode
Automatically enabled when the projector is turned on for over three minutes without a display source, Eco Blank Mode helps eliminate unnecessary energy waste and prolong the life of the projector lamp, saving up to 70% lamp power and blanking the screen to focus full audience attention on the presenter or instructor.
LampSave Mode
Fewer lamp replacements and maintenance translates into an overall lower cost of ownership. LampSave Mode adjusts lamp power dynamically per content, extending projector lamp life up to 50% compared to normal mode.

Designed for Easy Setup and Maintenance

Quick-Access Top Lamp Door for Efficient Replacement
Located on top of the projector, an easy-to-open lamp door allows for fast lamp access, maintenance, and replacement for virtually uninterrupted productivity, whether the projector is placed on a table-top or ceiling-mounted in meeting rooms. The quick-access lamp door helps reduce downtime by eliminating the need to uninstall mounted projectors, expediting lamp changes.
One-Touch Access to Installation Functions
The remote control includes a dedicated Quick Install button which is designed to instantly access installation-friendly functions, such as Test Pattern and Keystone, directly without scrolling through menus in the On-Screen Display.
Designed to Last Long
The micro-mirrors of the DLP chip and the nearly-sealed DLP engine design help this projector last without any loss in picture quality.

    BenQ MH530FHD reviews

MH530FHD 3300-Lumen Full HD DLP Projector is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from BenQ MH530FHD This is my first home theater projector. Image looks smooth and crisp. just like others product, there are pros and cons. Pros: image brightness is great, provide multiple inputs (VGA, HDMI, RS232, S-Video, audio and Video input), noise is acceptable and won't be heard when using alternate speakers, using DLP technology. Cons: built in speaker only rated 2w (a little bit too soft to hear), no USB interface, did not come with lens cap

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for your buck, back for more Last year our office ordered the MH530 (this model's older brother) and did a head to head comparison with our previous 2 bulb BenQ behemoth, at 10ft projection size we were impressed (even with the lights on). So we were looking to replace some of our "loaner" projectors and it was an easy choice to make: the latest in the MH530 line, a little larger then it's predecessor (I'm guessing for better heat dissipation) but an addition of one more HDMI input. We've switched to an entirely digital throughput, I like to set this up on "presentation" mode with the HDMI set to "limited" as it seems that's the best to make the image really pop. Great color rendition and 15,000:1 contrast make this a winner, especially when other manufacturers are charging double for what BenQ is serving. Would (and do) highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely buy another benq. This is my second one B&H Was the only company that could get me the projector by the end of the week and it arrived Thursday. We use it for our praise and worship service. It is easy and quick to set up and you can leave the lights on. We even use a long sized white sheet and project from a table behind it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I expected This is an awesome projector. It's not small, but I wasn't going for portability. It is bright and the picture is awesome. I love the audio out feature so I can have external speakers connected as the internal speaker is pretty weak. This is my second BenQ in the last 15 years - they are good projectors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good We only started using our projector, but we love the image quality and brightness so far. The available cables and inputs should accommodate most needs. My only complaint is that BenQ doesn't seem to have a case for this particular model, so we have had to look quite a bit of the right case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best projector ever Great home theater projector, I am very happy for this purchase. Easy setup and decent picture quality. Pros: Brightness, 3300 lumen is no joking 1080P resolution makes movie and picture clear enough for home use Price Easy installation Cons: Fan noise

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good for money Good projector - nice and bright with sliding door and three windows in vicinity. built in speaker blows so don't count on using that for anything at all. partnered with an inexpensive sound bar this is a really great setup and exceeded my hopes.
