Expensive, but go with the original batteries!
More expensive but more dependable than 3rd party with a little more juice and have a longer life span in my experience. I often supplement these with 3rd party batteries for longer shoots. One thing I noticed that if these are left in Sony A7IV they can discharge. This isn't the fault of the battery. I'd either pull the battery or top up before a job. Cameras today are power hungry. I'd rely on getting at least 1hr per battery filming video.
It is better than the knockoffs, but it only runs thew Sony FX30 around an hour in my experience. And it is expensive for what it is. Better to use an external battery, although you will still have to have one in the battery compartment to power the camera through it's USB port.
I'm always surprised by the life of these batteries. I use it for photography, one battery can last me two days of mild shooting.
These batteries are the best for Sony products. Unlike the knock-off brands such as Watson, these batteries communicate with Sony devices to accurately display the amount of power left in the battery. We're getting good service life from these batteries, mostly 2-3 years before they fail. Out of 16 batteries, we still have one working from 2018 and one from 2019, although two of the 2021 batteries have failed.
Great batteries for my FX30
Don't try to save money buying third party batteries. You won't find knock-off's with the initial capacity or long term durability.
Can't beat the reliability and battery life of these versus the non Sony branded batteries. Always worth the difference in price for me.
