What is the weight of the unit itself, without the cardboard box and packaging?
Asked by: Dave
While the exact weight is not listed, the box it ships in weighs 0.73 pounds. We would imagine the unit will be only around a half pound or so.

What type of HDMI this device send out? I'm looking to convert an SDI signal to HDMI 2.0
Asked by: Willian
Hi Willian, This is Jules from product support at Symbiosis, Decimator's master distributor for your region. The HDMI output on the MD-LX is HDMI 1.4. The 12G-Cross has an HDMI 2.0 output. Please note that HDMI is backwards compatible so if you are sending a signal that is carried over HDMI 1.4 to an HDMI 2.0 device then it will still work. Best Regards Jules

I haven't tried this specifically but I would assume so. LTC would embed just as any other audio signal over SDI. Hope this helps!

The unit is able to be powered from a USB port, but if you do not have a USB port available it does come with an adapter that you can connect the USB cable and plug into a 110 outlet.

Can this be used to take a HDMI output from an iMac or Macbook Pro into a BlackMagic ATEM 2 M/E?
Asked by: Jimmy
If the Apple computer is outputting a frame rate and resolution it can see then yes. The issue may be that this does not do frame rate conversions and scaling. You may need one of their Up/Down/Cross Converters and Scalers instead. https://bhpho.to/2HsMNzo

For the HDCP, is it set to pass through as copyrighted or uncopyrighted? The BM mini converters set to copyright, which is usually not an issue, but I want to covert my SDI camera feed to HDMI into a capture USB device. The USB sees the BM converter as copyrighted, won't pass it. So how does the Decimator output HDCP? Copyright on or off? Thanks
Asked by: Ben
For your use, SDI out of the camera, it should be fine. It has worked for me with all recorders I have tried. I'm surprised your BM converter has that issue if you are coming directly out of camera. I would check to see if your USB capture device isn't the problem.
