Really Right Stuff BA9 Overview

The Base Plate for Select Sony Alpha a7 Series Cameras from Really Right Stuff is designed with anti-twist flanges to keep the mounted camera from twisting. Once the dovetail plate is on, quick release functionality has been added to the camera. Also, this base plate is compatible with all Really Right Stuff clamps and most other Arca-type heads.

The CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate maintains complete access to the battery door without obstructing the tilting LCD monitor of the camera, and an option for an L-component is available that will fit the plate's modular design and make a custom-fit L-plate.

This plate has been Type II black anodized, which makes it resistant to scuffs and scratches. Furthermore, the base plate has a laser-engraved center mark on the back to align it on a head.

Yes- and if you have an ARCA-Swiss tripod head then you can mount this directly to the tripod without the need for an additional plate.
