Can this be used as a subwoofer cable? My JBL WEM-1 receiver has a subwoofer output but it's not a standard female RCA jack.

Probably, but it depends on your subwoofer. The output from the WEM-1 is a stereo (2-channel) signal, but this cable is for mono (1-channel) signals. If your subwoofer has both red and white female RCA jacks, you should use a stereo cable such as the MPS-2PP-6ST. If the subwoofer has only one RCA input, then you can use this cable. In either case, your subwoofer needs to have a low-pass filter (usually a knob where you can adjust the highest frequency that the subwoofer plays) because the output from the WEM-1 is full range (contains both high and low frequencies).
