Practically speaking, your audience should always see a sharp image, regardless of where they're looking inside the video sphere. Audio from all directions is recorded using four microphones for a complementary spatial audio experience to the spherical video.

Built-in barometer, accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass sensors as well as GPS and GLONASS positioning provide real-time data for the G-Metrix overlays. The free mobile and desktop VIRB applications can be used to offload, share, process, and even stabilize video recorded with the VIRB 360. Videos stitched in-camera can be streamed live with the VIRB applications on select Apple devices. While the apps offer deeper controls, operation of the camera itself is a simple affair. Use the top LCD to monitor key information, and when you're ready to roll simply press the record button, or just say so, using the voice command functionality.

I am planning to record an event in 360 which is around 3 to 4 hrs ,Will this work for me ? (I am trying to decide between Virb/GPRoFusion/Nikon)
Asked by: Adithya
This camera will not run more than 1 hour on a single battery and 4 hours of 360 4K video is well beyond any compatible memory card capacity that this camera can use.

question

Can the spherical video be easily cropped to a 16x9 aspect ratio, for a specific area of the frame, similar to what the GoPro Karma can do, allowing you to select the angle of a shot after the fact and create standard 16x9 video.
Asked by: Mark
Yes, with Garmin Virb Edit. You can change which part of video to show, zoom it in and out. My only complaint is that stitching of close objects right from the camera is far from perfect. Well, another one that the Virb Edit is not as flexible as I would want it to be but I got it do what I wanted after some practicing. Here is an example of such my video: https://youtu.be/GbXICSqB6vM

question

Wich is the minimum distance to the object I can have?
Asked by: manuel m.
We like the 360 Virb. Our expectation is the stitching will get better. When you are in a collect mode there is an average distance setting that adjusts the stitch process to better deal with smoothness of the stitch scar.
