Built to withstand the rigors of the outdoors, the chassis is made of a lightweight and durable aluminum-alloy wrapped in a protective slip-resistant rubber armor. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or conditions. A wide interpupillary adjustment range, generous ±4 dioptric correction, long 17mm eye relief, and four-position click-stop eyecups ensures easy and comfortable use by most people. From the binoculars' exceptional optical performance to the thoughtful construction details, this mid-sized Trinovid delivers performance while being comfortable in the hand during long observation sessions on the trail, at the range, in the stadium, or sightseeing around town.

I'm trying to decide between an 8x32, 8x42 or a 10x42--Can anyone point a reference that would allow me to compare these before I buy?
Asked by: William
Another benefit to the lower power and larger field of view of the 8x models is they have much less apparent shake when you hold them to view an object and are more useful from less steady vantage points, such as on a boat (whale watching, searching for feeding birds when fishing, etc.). The 10x42s will be the best for seeing fine detail, at distance, IF you have a very steady rest. Otherwise, and for general purpose use, choose one of the 8s. The advantage of the 32mm is its compact form factor. Its easier to carry while touring, attending sporting events, etc. In short, the 8x42 will be the brightest in low light and the easiest to look through at any time, the 10x42 is the distance/detail specialist, and the 8x32 is the convenient jack-of-all-trades, master of none. 90% of the time, I recommend the 8x32.
