With Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 4.0 GHz. Additionally, this processor features 8 cores with 16 threads in an LGA 2011-v3 socket and has 20MB of Intel Smart Cache memory. Having 8 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 16 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports up to 128GB of DDR4-2400/2133 RAM, has AES New Instructions, 14nm lithography, and utilizes 6th Generation (Skylake) technology. This product comes in a tray packaging and a limited 1-year warranty.

Graphically, the Intel Core i7-6900K 3.2 GHz Eight-Core LGA 2011-v3 Processor does not contain an integrated graphics controller, meaning that users will need to purchase a dedicated graphics card of their choice. This processor is also unlocked, meaning that it can be overclocked past its maximum turbo frequency. However, overclocking past the maximum turbo frequency is not recommended.
