Lenovo Yoga 370 overview

  • 1Description

The black Lenovo 13.3" ThinkPad Yoga 370 features a 360° hinge design that enables you to use it as a tablet or notebook, powered by an Intel Core i7-7500U dual-core processor along with 8GB of 2133 MHz DDR4 memory. The 7th-generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor is armed with two cores that operate between 2.7 and 3.5 GHz speeds. For storage, an M.2 SSD offers a capacity of 256GB over a PCIe interface that transfers data faster than SATA. In addition to storing data, the SSD is outfitted with Opal 2, which provides a hardware-based AES-256 encryption engine, and a fingerprint reader is available for quickly accessing the protected files and Windows 10 Pro operating system without typing a password. Furthermore, expanding the storage capacity can be easily done by inserting a microSD card into the ThinkPad's built-in card slot or using external USB drives

The ThinkPad Yoga 370 sports a 13.3" IPS display that offers wide viewing angles and accurate colors as well as a native resolution of 1920 x 1080, utilizing an integrated Intel HD Graphics 620 chipset. Moreover, the 13.3" screen supports 10-point multi-touch gestures and comes with a ThinkPad Pen Pro, which is an active stylus for sketching and writing notes. When used as a notebook, the ThinkPad Yoga 370 provides an illuminated keyboard as well as an integrated TrackPoint and Touchpad to control the cursor.

For USB connections, two USB 3.0 ports are on board, and one of these ports is always on, allowing it to charge battery-powered devices even when the Yoga 370 is powered down. Other notable wired connections include HDMI and Thunderbolt 3 ports to expand the onscreen workspace with user-supplied monitors. The Thunderbolt 3 port can also be used to access external storage drives, external GPUs, and more. Aside from wired connections, the ThinkPad Yoga 370 has Bluetooth 4.1 to wirelessly access speakers and headsets.

The ThinkPad Yoga 370 has provided 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Gigabit Ethernet, so the system can access the Internet wirelessly or wired. The Yoga 370 requires an optional mini RJ45 to RJ45 adapter to connect with your Ethernet cable. Once connected online, you can conduct face-to-face conferences by using its built-in dual-array microphone, 720p webcam, and pair of 2W speakers. There's also a 4-cell, lithium-ion polymer battery that delivers up to 12.5 hours of power, so you can work all day or watch six 2-hour movies.

ThinkPad Yoga 370 Features

Versatile Design
At just 3 lb, you can easily bring the ThinkPad Yoga 370 wherever your travels take you. This 2-in-1 notebook features a 360-degree hinge that flips easily from laptop to tablet.
Supported by all Microsoft Office 2016 applications, inking enables you to use the rechargeable pen or just your finger to mark up and make changes on the 10-point multi-touch 13.3" display.
Illuminated Keyboard
The Yoga 370 comes with a backlit keyboard, so you can still get the job done in a dark environment.
13.3" Touchscreen
Whether you're working on a presentation or editing a video, you'll see everything in sharp Full HD. And, when that inevitable impromptu meeting happens at your desk, IPS technology lets everyone see your screen, even those far off to the side. With the Yoga 370's touchscreen, you can really get into your work-and play. With more and more applications becoming touchscreen-friendly, the Yoga 370 allows you to be more interactive.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 is a hardware interface that utilizes the reversible USB Type-C connector. Doubling the speed of its predecessor, Thunderbolt 3 features a maximum throughput of 40 Gb/s when used with compatible devices. The connector also transmits data via USB 3.1 at up to 10 Gb/s, and dual-bandwidth DisplayPort 1.2 allows you to connect up to two 4K displays simultaneously. Additionally, you can daisy chain up to six devices from a single Thunderbolt 3 port.

Windows 10 Pro Features

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Laptop, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
Windows 10 Pro
The Pro version of Windows 10 includes all of the features of Windows 10 Home plus many designed specifically for businesses users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access. Devices will also be able to join domains and the Azure Active Directory, and they can even access a specialized version of the Windows Store featuring custom, company-specific applications.

    Lenovo Yoga 370 reviews

    13.3" ThinkPad Yoga 370 Multi-Touch 2-in-1 Notebook (Black) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Travel Companion I needed something lighter than my Lenovo P50 for traveling and this little gem fit that requirement perfectly. It is very light, yet powerful enough to run Office and photo processing apps and can be used as a laptop or notepad. The IPS touch screen, keyboard and track point are excellent and the build is solid. I upgraded the memory to 16GB and installed a larger, faster SSD drive (Samsung 970 EVO) and that provided a noticeable performance boot. There is only one drive and memory slot so choose your upgrades accordingly. All in all, a perfect little traveling companion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid product in ThinkPad line I have used a number of ThinkPad's since the IBM days. This is no exception to the quality that I have expected over the various model upgrades. I thought some of the component selections on the X1 were poorly chosen - especially the trackpad. Fortunately, components in this Yoga 370 feel solid and well built. No complaints on the performance or build quality.
