  • 2Redrock Micro microRemote Handheld Wireless Focus Controller
  • 3Redrock Micro SLS Ultra-Compact Lens Control Motor for microRemote
  • 4Redrock Micro D-Tap to 2-Pin LEMO flexCable for microRemote (24")

The Redrock Micro microRemote Wireless Kit with SLS Motor and flexCable allows for smooth and accurate focus adjustment. Included with this bundle are a Basestation which acts as the wireless receiver and power distributor for the motor, a lightweight yet powerful lens drive motor, and a Handheld Controller with hard stops on the handwheel.

The Basestation is the center of the microRemote system. It wirelessly coordinates with the Hand Controller and calibrates the motor to the lenses. Power is also distributed through the Basestation. The SLS drive motor also features a built-in lens light. It can drive photo or cinema lenses via its standard gear, while its small size keeps it unobtrusive. And owing to its lightweight properties, it won't unbalance your rig. The motor attaches to 15mm rods and can be adjusted to fit the diameter of your lens.

Redrock Micro microRemote Handheld Wireless Focus Controller

The microRemote Handheld Wireless Focus Controller from Redrock Micro is designed to help control your camera focus while using stabilizers such as Steadicams, Jib Arms, and Gimbal Stabilizers. By controlling focus wirelessly you remove the need to directly touch the camera during a shot, but still control focus to direct your viewer's attention.

In situations where wireless may not be possible, the optional tethering cable wires the microRemote for direct, interference-free operation up to 20 feet away.

Camera Run/Stop

This Handheld Controller features the ability to trigger the Run/Stop of supported cameras (cable required). This allows for control of the camera remotely for when it may be inaccessible. The microRemote Handheld Unit also has a built in Run/Stop light that indicates when the camera is recording or not, so the camera does not need to be within your line of sight.

Lens Mapping

All lenses are mapped to the full 270° rotation of the microRemote. This is especially helpful for DSLR lenses that have very short throws, but also very helpful for some Cinema Lenses that have long throws. The expanded mapping on DSLR Lenses is designed to allow refined and precise focus pulls. The mapping process makes all lenses feel similar, allowing for a consistent feel throughout all lenses.

Redrock Micro SLS Ultra-Compact Lens Control Motor for microRemote

The Redrock Micro SLS Ultra-Compact Lens Control Motor for microRemote is ultra-compact and lightweight, making it well suited for use with drones, gimbals, and stabilizers where every gram can make a difference. The small size and light weight gives you the option to leave it on your camera at all times. This version of the SLS motor features a standard 7-pin connector for compatibility with Redrock Micro and third-party controllers.

Belying its small size and lightweight nature, the motor is a powerhouse with three times the torque and twice the resolution of Redrock's original torque motor. The SLS motor mounts onto 15mm rods using a removable adjustable rod clamp, and Redrock Micro integrated a light into the motor for low-light lens mark visibility. A Cine standard 0.8 MOD drive gear assures that this motor can be used to drive any lens ring with Cine-standard gearing.

SLS is a great upgrade for microRemote owners who want increased performance and smaller size, Use one motor for focus, or three for full FIZ control.
  • Ultra-compact, ultra-lightweight size
  • Adjustable 15mm locking rod clamp
  • Integrated lens light for reading lens markings
  • Standard drive gear

question

Is that new setup with Atlas motor Redrock Micro Atlas Smart Motor Single Channel Focus Control With Wireless Hand Controller B&H # RE621550001here is the link to it https://<a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1338835-REG/redrock_micro_62_155_0001_atlas_smart_motor_single.html target= _blank >www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1338835-REG/redrock_micro_62_155_0001_atlas_smart_motor_single.html</a> better than regular torque motor from redrock micro? We are now looking for the wireless follow focus system to use with our Ronin M gimbal; and a7sII camera and this Atlas motors with no base station looks nice but are they better than a torque one?Are Atlas motors are more professional or&?And other question is how many atlas motors can the Redrock Micro microRemote Handheld Wireless Focus Controller work with?
Asked by: Iaroslav
Hi Iaroslav thanks for your questionsthe Atlas motor has several advantages over the Torque motor:1. it has 300% more torque and 200% more resolution2. it has the brain integrated into the motor, so there is no separate basestation3. it has many other advantages as a smart motor, including integrated radio, sbus (for drone and gimbal communication), wifi, app for configuration, daisy chain to support multiple channels, etc. - you can learn more about it on our website <a href= http://shop.redrockmicro.com target= _blank >shop.redrockmicro.com</a>The microRemote hand unit is a single channel hand unit. The atlas motors can be daisy-chained for FIZ (focus, iris, zoom)if you are looking for a 3 channel gimbal style control consider the Navigator 7-in-1 Command Module which has additional benefits to control the Ronin-M gimbal from the joystick as well, AND you can run it as solo operator fingerwheel style, or wireless FIZhope that helps

question

How can you change the focus throw?? I get how to change Gain/smoothness but want to adjust the throw. At the moment, if you turn the Remote only a few millimetres it will focus the lens quite extremely. I hope that makes sense!?
Asked by: Dane
Hi Dane - the microRemote has 270 degrees of throw which should be more than enough for almost any lens (with the exception of macro lenses that have )you can manually calibrate to a portion of the lens' throw so you can get even more granularity for shots that have limited range. If you are looking for additional support and you own a microRemote please contact our support group at [email protected] - they can offer more assistance there. Thanks

question

Does this kit come with the needed cables? Also if I want to use this with a Movi Pro and the Freefly remote is there anything else I would need beyond this kit?
Asked by: Keith T.
Depends on the Movi. We use this with our Movi M5 and Movi controller, less stuff needed for the new Movi Pro. You will probably need to order a receiver for your remote fro Freefly if it is an older Movi. They work very well but this is the bottom of the barrel for wireless focus so don't expect to film with this and sound. We produce only stock footage without audio. If I had to be recording audio this motor is pretty noisy.

question

Will I be able to use the start / stop function on the a7S II? If so, what cable will I need? The Micro-D HDMI output is occupied by an Atomos Shogun, if that has anything to do with it.
Asked by: Jay
I believe that a little bit of this info is very incorrect! (ASSUMING I READ CORRECTLY?) While I can't speak for the A7 (family) I remote start video with the wifi app ALL the time on my Sony a6300... I will admit that the Sony's like Android over iOS (which I use, of course). And that many functions become unchangeable until you get out of the app section of the camera. BUT remote Start and Stop (with limited monitoring) works and exits!) for the a6300... I assume it doe for the A7 family too!
