From bird-watching and sightseeing, to game hunting and comet hunting, these refurbished 8x42 Victory SF Binocular from Zeiss provides an immersive observational experience by combining exceptional optics and a wide field of view in a lightweight and durable housing. Extra low-dispersion fluoride lenses, integrated field-flattener lenses, fully multi-coated optics, and phase-corrected prisms work together to create images that are sharp and bright without distortion across the entire field of view; while colors are accurately represented in high contrast and with superb resolution. The binocular's 8x magnification and wide 64° apparent angle of view provides expansive views, while the exceptionally short 5' close focus distance enables you to make detailed observations of insects and small birds on flowers or feeders.

This SF version of Victory binocular features the Smart Focus system. Unlike convention focusing wheels that require users to turn the knobs as many as 2.5 times to transition from the minimum to the maximum focus distance, the SF system only requires 1.8 turns. This means faster and easier adjustments when changing focus or tracking subjects without sacrificing focus precision. The binocular is designed with ergonomic balance to reduce the feel of the weight in the hand which lessens user fatigue for comfortable use during long observation sessions.

The housing is made from a lightweight, durable, and strong magnesium alloy. A double-hinged open-bridge design provides a larger surface area for gripping while reducing the overall weight even more. The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for water and fogproof performance, giving it a waterproof rating to 400mbar of pressure.

Optical Performance
  • 8x magnification
  • 42mm objective lens
  • Compact Schmidt-Pechan roof prism design
  • SCHOTT Ultra-FL extra low-dispersion (ED) fluoride (FL) lenses virtually eliminate distortion and chromatic aberration while increasing contrast and color fidelity
  • 7-lens eyepiece with field flattener ensures crisp and sharp images across the entire field of view — especially at the edges
  • Anti-reflection T* lens coating increases light transmission for brighter images, with improved clarity, sharpness and contrast
  • Phase-correcting P* prism coatings enhance resolution, contrast, and color fidelity across the entire visible spectrum
  • 444' field of view at 1000yd
  • 64° apparent viewing angle
  • Exceptionally short 5' close focus distance

Construction Details
  • Bridge configuration reduces weight with a balanced center of gravity to lessen fatigue during long observation sessions, without sacrificing strength
  • The compact Schmidt-Pechan prism design allows for thinner optical tubes versus the more common Abbe-Koenig design, making them more comfortable to hold, especially for those with smaller hands
  • Lightweight and durable magnesium alloy housing
  • Nitrogen-filled to be waterproof to 400mbar of pressure, and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or environmental conditions
  • Slip-resistant rubber armored exterior
  • LotuTec lens coatings protect exterior lens surfaces from dirt and dust, resists scratches, and beads off water and oils
  • Wide -22 to 145°F (-30 to 63°C) operating temperature range
  • Weight: 27.5 ounces
  • Refurbished by Zeiss Sports Optics
