The TA-3-FRC Pod Foot Rock Claw from Really Right Stuff is a machined stainless-steel foot with scalloped, sharp-edged claws. Therefore, it is ideal to use on uneven rocky terrain, which digs into the ground and keeps a good grip. The 3/8"-16 male thread is compatible with all RRS tripods and monopods. Also, with the supplied O-rings, it prevents the claw from loosening and falling out from the tripod leg. In addition, the claw can be used as a spare or as a replacement for the tripod's original rubber foot.

TA-3-FRC Pod Foot Rock Claw is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Support When Needed These claws grab well and add support in rivers, streams and rough rock formations. However, I use the standard RRS rubber feet when my tripod is used on delicate sandstone formations, so I will not mar the surface. They are sold individually, which is good for me as I usually only need one. Unscrew them with your bare hand and you’ll understand why they supply a hex key for removal . . . .
