SKAARHOJ MC4 Module

The SKAARHOJ MC4 Module is a programmable control surface for use with broadcast video hardware, providing tactile control over essential functions. As a "Module" unit, this MC4 has DB-9 ports on either side. The right side connects to a Master unit or other Module units in the chain, while the left side can connect more Module units to expand the control surface. A short DB-9 cable can be used to connect Module units for a second operator. Using the SKAARHOJ-developed open-source UniSketch OS, the end-user can program the 16 RGB soft buttons on the MC4 to control a variety of devices, from switchers and recorders to PTZ cameras and playback decks. Each soft button features an individual scribble strip which displays functionality. Individual button functions can be changed depending on the application, so having a real-time method for monitoring functionality is essential.
