The SKAARHOJ MC8 Module is a programmable control surface for use with broadcast video hardware, providing tactile control over essential functions. As a "Module" unit, this MC8 has DB-9 ports on either side. The right side connects to a Master unit or other Module units in the chain, while the left side can connect more Module units to expand the control surface. A short DB-9 cable can be used to connect Module units for a second operator. Using the SKAARHOJ-developed open-source UniSketch OS, the end-user can program the 8 rotary encoders on the MC8 to control a variety of devices, from effects units to PTZ cameras and paint boxes. Each rotary encoder has its own LED status display which clearly denotes the current assigned function for each encoder.
