Swarovski Pocket overview

  • 1Description

The Swarovski Optik 10x25 CL Pocket Mountain Binocular is a lightweight and convenient optic for mid-range use that combines the quality construction and viewing precision that nature enthusiasts have come to expect. To help offset the high power and relatively small objectives and to ensure bright and crisp views, the CL Mountain utilizes the iconic Swarovski SWAROBRIGHT, SWAROTOP, and SWARODUR lens coatings. These coatings work together to produce bright and clear high-contrast images with accurate color rendition across the entire field of view.

This addition to the CL family features a dual-hinge bridge that allows the optical barrels to fold tightly underneath for space-saving compact footprint that can easily fit in a pocket, pack, or purse. The folding bridge design also gives it a broad 50-74mm interpupillary range to accommodate a wide range of users from children to adults. To withstand the rigors of the outdoors, the lightweight aluminum chassis is wrapped in a protective rubber armor accented with textured palm pads to improve its slip-resistant grip. The optical tubes are nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed to be waterproof to a depth of 13 feet, while being resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme temperature changes or environmental conditions.

Swarovski Pocket reviews

10x25 CL Pocket Mountain Binocular is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection! Absolutely worth every penny. I'm brutally honest with reviews and I tend to expect a lot out of the equipment I purchase, especially when it's a higher priced item, such as these Swarovski's.I wanted to buy the Leica Ultravid model at about the same price, but based on the specs and other reviews I felt the Swarovski's were a better choice. I did not tried the Leica or Zeiss so my choice is no reflection on either brand. However, I have owned and used a number of binoculars from Nikon, Vortex, and Pentax... and these Swarovski's are simply in a completely different league. These Swarovski's are definitely worth every penny.I'm very impressed with just about everything about them... the construction is top notch, the design is perfect, the eye relief is awesome (that and the case was my primary reason for choosing these over Leica), and the case is high quality and extremely functional. These are small enough to keep with me just about everywhere I go -- walk, hike, drive, etc. and the low light performance is surprisingly good. It's funny how I could justify spending $ on a good lens, but would never have thought that I could spend that much on binoculars. Obviously this model is on the lower end of the price scale for Swarovski's and well under that price, but my point is that my experience with these Swarovski's makes me realize that I wouldn't regret spending much more on a full-size binocular from Swarovski (or Zeiss or Leica). That's probably the best endorsement I can give these binoculars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Is it true? I read a lot of reviews about pocket binoculars before the purchase. Swarovski 10X25 CL consistently appeared towards the top of all reviews. They fold to a very acceptable size, great eye relief for those wearing glasses and a easily accessible focusing knob.Clarity and brightness of viewing field is outstanding. Worth the investment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Superb Optical and Mechanical Quality Daytime viewing is a pleasure in terms of achieving focus and overall image quality. Distortion is negligible and sharpness is degrading only at the very edge of the field-of-view. Brightness is excellent. Test on an almost full moon shows some stray light and a faint ghost image - overall much better than most other binoculars that I have seen. Test on a star shows pretty tight, point like images, except for a small astigmatism, i.e. an elongation of the star image that changes direction by 90 degrees when going through the focus. The mechanical quality is superb, as expected from Svarowski. On the downside, there is no means to attach it to a tripod. At magnification 10x a tripod or at least holding the bino to a firm support is essential to actually make use of its optical quality. The Zeiss Binofix Universal Binocular Tripod Adapter works well for me. If hand held use is planned as its main purpose, I recommend the 8x model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright and Light - Bins we'll never leave home Whenever we pack for a trip we invariably leave home our standard size binoculars. Also we wanted a pair of 10x for bird watching. These were recommended by a birder friend and we love them. They are bright and light. We are taking them on all trips, close to home and far away.
