question

Anybody shot on Creative Timelapse mode? Could tell me about final resolution of video? because it is 4k but other models like B700 not make Timelapse videos on 4k, it is just 1080p.Thanks
Asked by: Valentin
When the Frame Rate setting of the movie menu is set to 30 fps (60p/60p), 300 images are captured and saved with 1080/30p. When set to 25 fps (25p/50p), 250 images are captured and saved with 1080/25p. While the final file size is not indicated, the resolution for in-camera Time-Lapse images would be 1080p, not 4K.

question

It is possible to charge camera through USB port with an external power bank and same time shooting video/photos?
Asked by: Valentin
It may be possible, if the battery power bank has the correct amperage that the camera will accept, but it is not recommended. Nikon does not provide specific power operation specifications because it could be harmful to their products if you plug in the wrong amount of power. The Nikon supplied battery charger will safely charge your camera the correct amount and is the guaranteed method supported by Nikon.

Is there a focus lock (for hyperfocal distance) for fast shooting of birds flying by?
Asked by: Charles
The only way to lock the focus is by pressing the shutter halfway and holding it. But you can only lock the focus for one shot. An interchangeable lens camera would be a better option for locking the focus.

How fast is the auto-focus?

How fast is the auto-focus?
Asked by: Charles
The Nikon COOLPIX W300 Digital Camera uses contrast-detection autofocus. While it is not the fastest point-and-shoot camera in regards to autofocus, focus is relatively fast and is similar in performance to other point-and-shoot cameras that use contrast-detection autofocus.
