Simple and useful
This is being used to convert an output on a Mackie unpowered mixer from 1/4 to XLR, necessary for sending it as a return on our snake. It sits there and does its job well with no static or crackling. There is slight downwared pressure from the fan-out, but this seems solid so far.

Using to extend distance of instruments
This adapter works great! allows us to use an XLR mic cable as a guitar cable, this prevents the noise from standard instrument cables when we need to use and extra long cable for connecting to our sound board.

Perfect for 1/4 phone jack mike level
Cheap nady wireless had 1/4 phone jack with mike level out. (What was Nady thinking?). Plug this into the wireless receiver and it's a mike XLR out for narmal mike cord connection to Mixer.
