    Godox V860IIC reviews

VING V860IIC TTL Li-Ion Flash Kit for Canon Cameras is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great flash, and the battery will pay for it. The flash works great. I bought it because I wanted to have a flash and and remote (XProC) so I could get the flash off the camera. I found that I could get twoGodox VING V860IICs and a remote for less than the price of one Canon 600. Both the flash and the remote are easy to use and are well built. Having a rechargeable battery will pay for the flash by not having to keep feeding it AA batteries. I will be ordering anotherGodox VING V860IIC this week. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars the way it attaches to the camera. Canon's lever action is easier to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Flash at any price This flash does it all and doesn't feed the AA battery beast! The Li-Ion battery pack is a game changer. I don't worry that I have charged enough AA batteries to get the jobs done for the day. I also use the TT600 that feeds the AA beast with lots of rechargeables, which gives me a good comparison between the V860IIC Li-on and a AA flash of equal power. The V860IIC in a soft box is excellent paired with the XT32. I get 1/256 power, which was needed when photographing an infant with big sister. All smiles, no blinks! The color temp is also consistent at the various power settings. It blends well with daylight regardless of the power setting. The Godox V860IIC rarely misfires. When I shoot real estate, I'm often in a tight spot with the flash near the XT32 transmitter. I have not found any transmitter dead spots which would cause a misfire. I tried another brand with the flash and transmitter often losing contact causing the flash to repeatedly misfire. The only negatives for this flash is the hot shoe old-school twist lock. Every other flash brand uses a quick lock system. The flash also lacks weather sealing, which does not matter to me. The V860IIC is an excellent flash that is part of a great lighting system. After all my research into lighting, I decided to switch over to the Godox wireless system for all my lighting needs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for them money I needed something that was light and not to expensive. This was easy to use and just what I needed. I love that I don't have to switch out batteries all day, and its good for about 600 flashes, give or take, but the recycle time on these is pretty rough. Depending on this for say a reception, your going to miss moments with it because it is just not fast enough, unless you know just whats going to happen and when! But I still love it for the flexibility and the easy to manage. worth it for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good flash Good substitute for Canon's 600 flash that cost 50% less. Added benefit is the 50% faster recycling time and over 500 shots per charge of the Li-ion battery pack. One downside is the old fashion turn knob to secure the flash on camera hot-shoe. Flip lock used in Canon flash is much more secure and faster. Also Canon has a rubber boot cover the locking mechanism - an important feature to ensure reliability when used in outdoor environment.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No Support from godox One of the lights I purchased stoped working after 6 months of little use. I contacted godox support since its under "warranty" but they won't communicate. I've now contacted them several times without any luck. I see now why these are so inexpensive and have already started to replace all my godox equipment with reliable brands.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty good but would like improvements I like how these cameras have built in transceivers as well as rechargeable batteries. It is true the recycling time is faster .... when you first start using them. I recently used three on stands at a wedding, and only after the first dances the recycling time became very slow ... I had to wait every 10 seconds to take a photo... flash power wasn't very high either. It was disappointing but I guess next time I will pick and choose my shots better. Other than that fairly good and worth the perks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice! I added this along with my 420EX and use both on a 6d MkII. The Godox is very nice and solid. Obviously, it has a lot more power and functionality than the 420. I can't tell any difference in build quality from my Canon. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I've never used a two flash set up but I think I'm going to also purchase the Godox trigger. At the price point, I can afford to play around with it and see how to use it. Nevertheless, don"t be afraid of the brand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pluses and minuses The good: this flash lit up a completely dark room with a ceiling bounce and I got a great shot! It has the power to get the job done! It's economical and it has a rechargeable battery, something nobody else has right now. The bad: even after upgrading the firmware changing the settings was hit and miss. Try changing the zoom? Nothing. And when I got a second one to use as an off camera slave, only one of them would act as a master and the other as a slave and NOT vice versa. But then the zoom started working on the first one. So strange. Good enough for me to recommend though. Get a second battery. It gets lethargic after about 400 shots at 1/2 power. Otherwise the recycle time is almost instantaneous. Not for professionals who need a 100% reliable flash, at least, not as is. If you need specific settings in a can't-fail environment then don't gamble on this one. Or at least save it for the part of the job where you can switch back to your other speedlite in case this one goes wonky and your subject/model can wait a moment. Used on both a Canon Rebel T3i and Rebel T6.
