The AD200 TTL Pocket Flash Kit from Godox is built around a unique flash light source that has a standard speedlite head and a bare bulb head that give you the option of 2 distinctly different qualities of light. The kit comes with the 2 heads, lithium battery, charger and carry case.

The speedlight head outputs the standard look of an on-camera flash that can be modified using an optional softbox, beauty dish or umbrella. The bare bulb head features a removable flash tube and produces 360 degrees of soft, bright, nearly shadowless light. The head uses optional reflectors that focus the beam angle and give you directional control. The AD200 has impressive core features such as 200 Ws of power adjustable in 8 steps from 1/128 to 1/1, recycling from 0.01 to 2.1 seconds and flash durations as short as 1/11,300 sec. The flash runs on a removal rechargeable lithium battery that will give you up to 500 full power flashes and thousands of lower power flashes.

The AD200 has 3 flash modes: Manual, TTL, and Multi (Stroboscopic). Manual outputs the user's choice of power, modeling light, first or second curtain sync, etc. Multi controls the stroboscopic rate up to 90 times (90 Hz). TTL takes advantage of the flash head's built-in X1 receiver. Optional X1 TTL transmitters are available for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic and Fuji cameras. They will also detect a separately purchased LED head. The 32-channel wireless system controls flash mode, first and second curtain sync, High-speed sync up to 1/8000 sec, power level, modeling lamp and ready beeper at distances up to 328'. Firmware updates are obtainable on the Godox website.

question

Hello, will the Godox AD200 work with the Yongnuo YN-E3-RT Wireless Speedlite Transmitter for Canon ?
Asked by: Mark
Unfortunately no, the Godox radio system and Yongnuo system are each proprietary and not compatible with one another. They will both fit onto Canon flashes and cameras but they are not interchangeable. You would need to use all Godox transmitters and receivers or all Yongnuo with your flash system.

The Godox AD200 TTL Pocket Flash Kit comes with a Limited 1-Year Warranty from Godox. For repair, you would have to send the unit to Godox. B&H does not have a service and repair center, and we do not repair camera equipment, lenses, or accessories.

Can you use the "wireless flash" setting on Sony cameras (eg: A7iii) with the AD200?

No, the wireless setting on the Sony cameras is an infrared function, and it will not trigger the Godox AD200 TTL Pocket Flash.

Can I plug a Pocket Wizard Plus 3 into the Godox ...

Can I plug a Pocket Wizard Plus 3 into the Godox AD200. Then place a second Pocket Wizard Plus 3 on my Canon DSLR camera. Will the flash fire if the shutter button is pressed on the camera?
Asked by: Gary H. R.
Yes. If you wish, as the Godox AD200 TTL Pocket Flash has a 1/8" (3.5mm) sync terminal on the side of the flash unit, you may connect a PocketWizard Plus III Transceiver to the Godox AD200 TTL Pocket Flash using the standard PocketWizard MM1 Miniphone to Miniphone Cable -12" (B&H # WICMM16) included with the PocketWizard Plus III. You may then wirelessly trigger the flash by pressing the shutter button on your camera via a second PocketWizard transceiver connected to the hot shoe on your camera. Do note that you will have to set the flash output manually, as this setup would not provide TTL automatic flash exposure capability.

Will this work TTL with a Nikon FA, and if not, ...

Will this work TTL with a Nikon FA, and if not, are there any adapters that could make it work?
Asked by: Pedro
The Nikon FA is capable of TTL flash and is supposed to work with modern Nikon flashes; I do not have an FA so I base this statement on reading the specs for the FA. Therefore, it should work with the AD200 provided you have the appropriate Godox flash trigger. I use the Godox XProN TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Nikon Cameras and would highly recommend this unit; it has worked flawlessly for me for several years. Because of the age of the Nikon FA and if it were me, I would try the FA with the Godox trigger and flash before committing to the purchase.
