The AD200 TTL Pocket Flash Kit from Godox is built around a unique flash light source that has a standard speedlite head and a bare bulb head that give you the option of 2 distinctly different qualities of light. The kit comes with the 2 heads, lithium battery, charger and carry case.

The speedlight head outputs the standard look of an on-camera flash that can be modified using an optional softbox, beauty dish or umbrella. The bare bulb head features a removable flash tube and produces 360 degrees of soft, bright, nearly shadowless light. The head uses optional reflectors that focus the beam angle and give you directional control. The AD200 has impressive core features such as 200 Ws of power adjustable in 8 steps from 1/128 to 1/1, recycling from 0.01 to 2.1 seconds and flash durations as short as 1/11,300 sec. The flash runs on a removal rechargeable lithium battery that will give you up to 500 full power flashes and thousands of lower power flashes.

The AD200 has 3 flash modes: Manual, TTL, and Multi (Stroboscopic). Manual outputs the user's choice of power, modeling light, first or second curtain sync, etc. Multi controls the stroboscopic rate up to 90 times (90 Hz). TTL takes advantage of the flash head's built-in X1 receiver. Optional X1 TTL transmitters are available for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic and Fuji cameras. They will also detect a separately purchased LED head. The 32-channel wireless system controls flash mode, first and second curtain sync, High-speed sync up to 1/8000 sec, power level, modeling lamp and ready beeper at distances up to 328'. Firmware updates are obtainable on the Godox website.

This is my first off camera flash system and I have enjoyed using it so far! Everything is very sturdy and works great. A nice starter kit for anyone looking into a flash set. It's easy to set up and intuitive. I've used it outside in daylight and the godox 200 has provided a lot of light for dramatic portraits

Works great. The flash head gets so hot it actually melted the flash defuser. It says that it gets hot and not to touch after firing. But I never expected it to get so hot to melt the head defuser. Not cool.

very happy

The Right Light.

When I made the switch to mirrorless what I valued most was size an weight savings. Switching to these lights are part of that consideration. They are reliable. Affordable. Compact. The battery life is great. It is rare what ever the project calls for that I can't get it done with these lights. I thought about getting it 400 or even the 600, but I just don't have a need. These get the job done. I have had them for three years now and they are going strong. If I need more light I use the adapter that allows me to plug in two AD200s to create one 400ws light.

Being an old school pro photographer since the 80's - my go to portable flash has always been my trusty Norman 200B. After having some battery and charging issues, and trying to get some replacement stuff for it off of Ebay - a friend suggested I check this unit out - and boy am I glad I did. Same power as the HUGE 200B - but practically fits in your pocket. I bought the radio trigger, and use that in the TTL mode with the bare flash head and it works perfectly for my needs. Sure it's a little chinsy compared to the bulletproof Norman, but for the price it's great.

Better than I expected

I bought this for outdoor portable portraits.. I really like the power for such a small unit. Full control from the trigger makes adjustments very easy.

Huge improvement on a speedlight.

I got this for the bare-bulb flash adaptor, and it was well worth the cash. It makes a huge difference, and its the closest thing I've got to a true strobe, but with the portability of a speedlight.

question

Hello, will the Godox AD200 work with the Yongnuo YN-E3-RT Wireless Speedlite Transmitter for Canon ?
Asked by: Mark
Unfortunately no, the Godox radio system and Yongnuo system are each proprietary and not compatible with one another. They will both fit onto Canon flashes and cameras but they are not interchangeable. You would need to use all Godox transmitters and receivers or all Yongnuo with your flash system.

No, the wireless setting on the Sony cameras is an infrared function, and it will not trigger the Godox AD200 TTL Pocket Flash.
