Godox TT600 Reviews

Great quality and a great price

If you are looking for and all manual flash that's well made, delivers great results that doesn't break the budget, this is it! I've owned several name brand units over the years and honestly, these are better made and offer the same if not better performance at much less cost. this unit partners with all Godox wireless triggers and has a built in receiver. I've used it with the 24 Angler Fastbox on several occasions and have been completely satisfied! If you have no need for TTL, just buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome Alternative!

I've been using Nikon SB800 for 10 years now. In the past year or so they have been slowly dying. I have been looking for a replacement that was not $600. I don't use HSS or TTL so this was the perfect choice for me. It even takes AA batteries so I get get them anywhere in case I run out of juice. I've been using this on a Nikon Z6 with the Godox XProN TTL transmitter. So far I like the performance of these better since they are radio and not line of sight. Over the past few projects, they have fired every time. I would highly recommend them!

Just used it yesterday for a wedding and it worked great. Easy to use, easy to read settings, battery low indicator. Worked as expected!

Although it is very bright and works it is quite confusing at times especially when hooking up to a trigger but when you read the manual for channels and groups it's fine

Near perfection for me

Just two little things I like less, the wide-angle diffuser is a bit hard to pull out ( but my nails were very short today ) and the focus assist beam is always flashing in slave mode ( its normal behaviour ) but I can live with both. Now, this model very solid, powerful and the build quality is axcellent so at that price, you can't go wrong. Approved and recommended!

Great

Great little flesh. I love it. The problem I have with the R6 camera is that when it sees a TTL Flash it kills the live view. Since this doesn't have TTL it works wonderfully with the live view. It also is set up really well so that I can control several other godox and Flashpoint flashes at the same time. I like this better than the Canon rt600 since the godox tt600 enables you to set up the output of The Flash right on your screen which is the letter m. Which is less cumbersome to change the settings on the flash then the Canon rt600. The only caveat is you have to go into the settings of The Flash and have it stay on for 30 minutes to an hour before you have to turn it back on again if you're not using it in that time.

Purchased two of these one year and three months ago. They both stopped working. Usage level was very light and no damage or drops to the units. Junk.

Does this flash have a sleep mode? How can you keep it awake when used remotely?
Asked by: John
Godox TT600 Thinklite Flash Idle time before entering Sleep Mode is 10 minutes by default. You can turn it off however it is not recommended because it drains your battery faster. You will find this option under Settings/ Custom Functions./SL. You will need to turn the SL (sleep mode) off.

can i use a Sony Godox transmitter to trigger Standard Shoe TT600? That metal shoe looks a lot more durable than my broken plastic Sony shoe!
Asked by: Paolo
There is a standard shoe TT600 and Sony shoe TT600. The trigger may work, but if the standard shoe will not work in a Sony camera shoe (and vice versa). Safer to stay in same system
