Godox AD600B Reviews

Excellent Modern Flash

This sort of unit was basically a dream for me many years ago. It is an excellent balance between power and portability. Now units like this have sort of existed before (Lumedyne comes to mind) but being an all in one unit for the most part and TTL which honestly simplifies shooting, the unit does a great job. Is it built like a Profoto B1? Close and honestly you can get two of these for the price of a B1. Unless you have a plethora of Profoto modifiers this really is a better option

Godox AD600B ROCKS

I purchased the Godox AD600B for my wife for Christmas (she’s also a photographer), and have enjoyed the quick cycle times, as well as the number of settings it has to offer. One of the best parts, is using the Godox trigger, you can quickly change settings on the flash unit...this is very helpful when flash head is higher than I can reach. I chose this B model over the Pro model, and I definitely made the right choice. The portability of this flash is also a plus!

Love the flash

Love this Godox unit. Only issue is the Extension Flash Head comes without the $125 flash tube which has to be purchased separately, but the bulb has been on back order for months so the part is useless.

This Really Altered My Flash Experience

I've been shooting architectural spaces with a small forest of standard hot shoe strobe units mounted on stands and still I never seemed to be able to get enough light to spread evenly. I thought this Godox AD600 would help and it certainly did. I KNEW about the difference of these larger units but I never thought it would be as substantial as this. Can't beat for the price. Reasonably priced and simple to use, it has made a real difference in my work.

I have 3 of these and I use them along with the AD200's and the Speedlights and they all work seamlessly together. Spend the money, you won't regret it.

Does anyone have a way to remove / fix / modify the ratchet so that the tilting mount operates similarly to the Pro version? The ratchet is very irritating and doesn't allow for precise tilt adjustment. Thanks!
Asked by: Justin
We are not aware of any modification that can be down to the tilting stand mount on the AD600B. However, you may want to add a Impact Heavy-Duty Swivel Pin, BH # IMSRP118 between the light and your stand to add some articulation. https://bhpho.to/3NBsOdO
