Alpine Innovations SK-BIBFD10 overview

  • 1Description

Using a binocular in the glaring sun or a stinging wind can cause eye discomfort and interfere with your observation — unless your're equipped with the Bino Bandit glare guard from Alpine Innovations. This opaque, flexible, weatherproof shade fits all binoculars.

Made of neoprene (the same material as a diver's wet suit), the Bino Bandit snugs onto the binocular behind its eyecups. It can easily be folded out of the way when not needed. The shade blocks glare, shields your eyes from wind, reduces eye strain, and improves visual acuity.

    Alpine Innovations SK-BIBFD10 reviews

Bino Bandit is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dark At Last! I got it for my Canon 15x50 IS binox and carefully installed it. HA-HA! First time I used it was several days later at night when the ISS was passing overhead before dawn. Discovered I had put it on upside down! It was easy to remove and reinstall it properly. It took a little primping and fussing to get it shaped just right but it is easy to work with. It folds down nicely when not in use. But most important of all, it cuts out the light from street lights coming in from the sides. It really works well and I'm glad I got it. The first review was a little negative, but it is a worthwhile addition to improve one's binocular experience. I would definitely recommend it to any bino user.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The bino bandit blocks light from the side very well. I went on a birding trip this past weekend and used the bino bandit. It fit on the binoculars easily and was easy to flip up and down although I used it up for the two day trip. It blocks the light from the sides very well. The problem is that it is floppy not firm. It got pressed down by my forehead and therefore folded into my view. I needed to hold the binoculars a little away from my face in order for it to stay in shape. I need to practice with it to see if I can adjust to it.
