Klipsch RP-250F overview

  • 1Description

The piano black Reference Premiere RP-250F Floorstanding Speaker from Klipsch is a compact floorstanding speaker that's designed to produce powerful sound from music and movie soundtracks. This 36" high speaker incorporates a 1" titanium LTS tweeter and dual 5.25" Cerametallic cone woofers that combine to cover a wide 35 Hz - 25 kHz frequency response. Klipsch's integrated 90x90 hybrid Tractrix horn design is engineered to offer dynamic high-frequency sound. With a recommended power handling of 100W continuous and 400W peak at 8 ohms, the RP-250F is compatible with a wide range of power amplifiers. This speaker can even be bi-amplified when paired with compatible amplifiers. For showcasing the speaker's impressive driver array, a removable magnetic grille is included.

90x90 Hybrid Tractrix Horn
The Tractrix Horn utilizes a circular horn throat paired to a square horn mouth to further improve high-frequency response and extension, while enhancing imaging and dynamics. The compressed molded rubber construction adds high frequency damping to reduce harshness and improve detail.
Linear Travel Suspension Titanium Tweeter
Linear Travel Suspension is designed to minimize distortion for enhanced and detailed performance.
Spun Copper Cerametallic Woofers
Cerametallic woofers are engineered to offer high rigidity and lightweight construction for minimal cone breakup and distortion.
Rear-Facing Tractrix Port
Utilizing Tractrix geometry, the rear port enables the efficient and fast air transfer from the cabinet to produce clean and powerful low frequency sound.
Piano Black Finish
Crafting of this limited-edition finish requires a three-coat paint and polish process to help create a deep, vivid reflection that only a true piano black finish possesses.
Infinity Edge
The limited edition finish wraps around the entirety of the housing to provide an even reflection with a virtually edge-less appearance from all angles.

    Klipsch RP-250F reviews

Reference Premiere RP-250F Floorstanding Speaker (Single, Piano Black) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive My small condo like living space needed a home theater upgrade. Went from bookshelf fronts to these RP-250 floor speakers. Wowdidn't realize how much was lost in the sub crossover. No excuses about size, these 250's perform. Of course the signature Klipsch mid to high end is there but the low end response without distortion is beyond my expectations. My approx. 375 sq. ft. 'living space' is now a home theater that can stand up to dedicated entertainment rooms. The efficiency of these speakers means I can play them at medium to low levels and still get a full sound but... when it's time to crank-it-up, the neighbors will just have to be understanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Purchase Used in 20x16x16tall wedge shaped music room. They are a must for vinyl, CD's sound un-natural as they are bright in my wood and glass room. Persians on the floor are the dampening of choice but does not take away the wonderful low frequencies. I use a sub but not really necessary. Fried my old Sony 100watts a channel receiver in a month of ownership. The Klipsch has great sound and eye appeal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big (& Clear) Sound from a Slim Speaker I got these to replace a pair of old JBL speakers that were at the end of their useful life-span. Although these are considerably smaller, they really can fill the room (and the whole house, for that matter) with sound. They work great as Front L&R on video surround applications; but they truly shine as music main speakers. With the dual woofers and the rear port, you get fantastic, deep and clear bass. They are even better sounding than I had expected, and they look good too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What Can I Say That Hasn't Been Said... These speakers are fantastic. Not only do they look cool, the sound is amazing, superb and all of the above.
