Delkin Devices 128GB UHS-II SDXC overview

  • 1Description

With the ability to achieve maximum read speeds of up to 285 MB/s and maximum write speeds of up to 100 MB/s, the 128GB UHS-II SDXC Memory Card from Delkin Devices is designed to capture Full HD and 4K multimedia content. This card features the V60 Video Speed Class rating, which guarantees minimum write speeds of 60 MB/s, and supports the UHS-II bus standard for enhanced data transfer rates. Once inserted into your device, this 1900X SDXC memory card helps to prolong the life of your battery, as it consumes up to 30% less power than comparable cards. Additionally, this high capacity memory card comes water, shock, and X-ray proof for added piece of mind when working in harsh weather conditions.

UHS-II media achieves its speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II. However, bear in mind that this card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-I and U3. If your device does not support U3, which guarantees minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantees minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

Delkin Devices 128GB UHS-II SDXC reviews

128GB UHS-II SDXC Memory Card is rated 2.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Closes slowly on GH5 compared to other cards at 4k60p The reviewer who mentioned this card closes recording slowly when using it on a GH5 @ 4k60p is correct. Compared to a Sandisk Extreme pro UHS-I card, this card takes 7 secs to close the recording, vs 2 secs on the supposedly slower UHS-I card. I am currently using mine in a Panasonic VX870k camcorder I use as a second camera. It works fine there. The read speeds when using a UHS-II card reader are impressive. Overall a good card, but not suitable for 4k60p recording on a GH5.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a good choice for the GH5 at 60fps I got this card because it has the new V60 rating and is pretty much the only option if you want a V60 card. The card performs fine in most instances. However, it takes 8-12 seconds to close out a file on the GH5 if you are shooting at 60fps. I do a lot of wedding work, so this is a deal breaker for me. If you do slower paced shoots where you have the time to wait, or you don't shoot much at 60fps, then it is a fine card. I'm returning mine though.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy! Won't Work as Advertised! I spent $200 on 2 of these supposedly V60 rated cards only to have cards that can only record 400 Mbps on a GH5 for about 10-15 seconds of stuttery, unusable footage. Not to mention they take close to 10 seconds to save a file recorded in 60FPS for some reason. Save your money and just go for the Sandisk V30 cards if you don't need 400 Mbps. I won't make the mistake of not going with a reputable brand again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome cards Super fast, works great on my GH5 - although the GH5 at this point only has a 150Mbps mode (later this summer they claim an upgrade to 400Mbps which I look forward to testing and expect this card to work with). The other guy that said it takes a long time to close out a file when recording with the GH5 - I don't think that's a problem with the card, I think that's just the GH5.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slow! - Do NOT use with GH5 This card is supposedly rated at V60 but it can sustain even 50 megabytes per second in the GH5. My card was very unreliable and spotty at best. I'm only using it for very slow XAVC-S recordings. Not worth it at all. The Sony UHS-II 299 Megabytes per second cards are truly incredible and flawless. This Delkin is a slow card with a fast labeled sticker.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too slow Will not write sustainable writes while I try to shoot 400mbits a second on my GH5. Will do 150mbits per second but as others have said there's a big lag before being able to record again. I'm contacting Delkin for a refund or replacement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Working great so far! Haven't had any issues so far. Writing 4K 60fps from my Panasonic EVA1 and it hasn't let me down. We'll see how they perform after the 400mbps update. They are a little on the flimsy side though - that's just nit-picking.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from V60 card that can't handle 50MB/s This card does not keep up with the Panasonic GH5 400Mbps codec. 3 first times it worked perfectly but now it stops after just 20-30 seconds.
