No, the RED DIGITAL CINEMA DSMC2 Base Expander is not needed to use the RED DSMC2 V-LOCK I/O EXPANDER.

I want to connect this base expander on the RED RAVEN to 1. An atomos ninja flame (on a dji ronin) and 2. a Core SWX HyperCore attached to a GyroVu V-Mount Battery mount (on a dji ronin), please what cables do i need? Thank you.

The Ninja Flame accepts only HDMI video. If the Flame is mounted on the Ronin, you want a flexible cable. Pearstone 3' Ultra-Thin HDMI Cable (Black) B&H # PEHDA403UTB. From the GyroVu, use this cable to the camera: Wooden Camera D-Tap to Epic/Scarlet/Dragon/Weapon Braided Flexible Cable (36 ) B&H # WO208800. Measure the situation and make sure it is the correct length.
