The DS-2CD2125FWD-I 2MP Outdoor Network Dome Camera with Night Vision & 4mm Lens from Hikvision has a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor to capture 1920 x 1080 resolution video at 30 fps. IR LEDs provide up to 100' of night vision. The 4mm fixed lens delivers a horizontal field of view of 86.4°. A built-in slot supports microSD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 128GB. microSD cards are available separately. Integrated PoE technology simplifies connectivity by transferring power and data over one cable.

This camera is ONVIF-compliant for Profiles S & G, making it compatible with a wide range of surveillance devices. It is housed in an IP67- and IK10-rated enclosure that is suitable for outdoor use in areas at risk of vandalism.

This camera notes ultra-low light and IR Night Vision. I will guess this is a setting you choose when setting up the camera? one or the other? or both somehow?

"Ultra low-light" refers to DarkFighter technology. This means that the camera will display color images even with extremely little light (down to 0.008 lux). If it gets any darker than this then, by default the IR lights will kick in and give you a black and white image. You can turn this setting on and off as you please.

The camera will come with a Power supply to give it High power POE. If you connect the POE power supply, you will not need to connect the 24 VAC power supply.

Can this camera be hardwired to a nvr and the nvr be connected to the internet thru wifi? I use a verizon jetpak for internet and can only be connected via usb cable or wifi.

Hikvision offers a line of Wi-Fi NVRs that can connect to the internet wirelessly. Regular NVRs will need to be hardwired into a router in order to connect to the internet.

Does the ds-2cd2135 dome camera need additional accessories to mount on a wall that is exposed to rain or does its housing provide rain protection?

Hi Apollo, there is no need to contact tech support about these types of questions. All you have to do is search for the part number on our website (us.hikvision.com) and then go to the product's "datasheet". Here you will see that there are 2 compatible rain shields: the SRS (Sun rain shield) and the SRSM (Sun rain shield medium). Of course, this camera is rated IP67 and is rain-proof, but these shields are useful for keeping droplets off of the dome so that you can get a clear image.
