This camera notes ultra-low light and IR Night Vision. I will guess this is a setting you choose when setting up the camera? one or the other? or both somehow?
Asked by: Tim
"Ultra low-light" refers to DarkFighter technology. This means that the camera will display color images even with extremely little light (down to 0.008 lux). If it gets any darker than this then, by default the IR lights will kick in and give you a black and white image. You can turn this setting on and off as you please.

Does the ds-2cd2135 dome camera need additional ...

Does the ds-2cd2135 dome camera need additional accessories to mount on a wall that is exposed to rain or does its housing provide rain protection?
Asked by: Apollo
Hi Apollo, there is no need to contact tech support about these types of questions. All you have to do is search for the part number on our website (us.hikvision.com) and then go to the product's "datasheet". Here you will see that there are 2 compatible rain shields: the SRS (Sun rain shield) and the SRSM (Sun rain shield medium). Of course, this camera is rated IP67 and is rain-proof, but these shields are useful for keeping droplets off of the dome so that you can get a clear image.
