Afinia EinScan-Sp Reviews

Great for the price!

I tried a cheaper one from other manufacturer before and the detail was 1000times less than this one. I do design work that fits user's hands so the design process paced up by this scanner. One star less since one of the parts had a scratch and the USB cable connector had a dent. But no problem in usage. Great support from the manufacturer. Had problem with initial calibration, but helped me through it. (was just lighting issue) Probably the best in this price range.

Works Great!

I use an Artec EVA also. This scanner is fantastic for smaller parts.

question

What is the software package and does it come with it? Also, how computable is it with SolidWorks software?
Asked by: Travis M.
The EinScan-SP comes with software from Shining 3D that allows you to output to STL, OBJ, and PLY. For reverse engineering in Solidworks, a 3rd party software package such as Geomagic is suggested to create editable surfaces for solid modeling.
