I like it

I like it, it's ever so slightly larger than the smaller square that came with my 3legged thing tripod. Gives a better feel to the camera being larger. Feels more secure mounted in my tripod.

Great medium sized baseplate.

Works great. Currently attached to the tripod foot of a Canon 70-200mm lens and is nearly identical in size to the foot. The rubber pads prevent it from slipping when reasonably tight. Currently using it with a RRS BH-40 with the full-size lever clamp and it works perfectly.

Could not use it

Well made and at a good price

Well made and at a good price. As a bonus I actually like the color. If I could change anything about it then I guess it would not need a key or coin to remove and attach but would rather have the manfrotto style screw that has a fold out and away D loupe the twist it on and off.

Works for both my cameras.

Usually, I get a dedicated dovetail base for each camera I get. But when you sell the camera, the dedicated base has no value. So this time I decided to get one dovetail base that would work for both my Leica M9 and Fuji X100 and decided on the QR7. The base fits well and the build quality is excellent. The only think Im not fond of is you need a coin or tool to tighten down the base unless you have very strong fingers. One of those screws with the folding twist tightener would have been better. But this screw is better than having one that needs a dedicated hex or star wrench.
