Fantastic quality and light weight. Just what I was expecting from a 3 Legged Thing product. Already in the field with it.

Good Bracket / Pricey

It is very light. I assume it might be cast aluminum. Build quality is very good. I cannot bend it. The design works perfectly on my Pentax K3. Access to the left side door while bracketed might be an issue, but not a problem for me.

Improved Adjustment from Previous Model

I have a dedicated L-bracket for one particular camera, but wanted one for occasional use on three other cameras without having to buy three separate dedicated L-brackets. I intended to buy the Elle G model, but found that it is apparently discontinued. After using this one I found that the sliding adjustment for different cameras is much simpler that the Elle G model and I am very well pleased.

I bought this bracket to make switching from landscape to portrait orientation easier, and it's very simple to use if you have an Arca Swiss compatible head. I love it. The only downside is it adds a little bit of weight to your camera.

A must have!

I haven't used it for long, but it has been a great tool so far. It makes it so much easier and quicker to switch from horizontal to vertical positioning without having to take time to rebalance the bubble level.

No stops for the portrait orientation Arca plate

This L-Bracket is nicely made and works fine on my D500 in all ways but one -- there are no safety pin stops on the vertical Arca plate. I don't need the L-Bracket at all in the landscape direction, and because of this weird oversight on the part of the normally thoughtful 3 Legged Thing design team, this bracket is useless to me.

I've gone without for years since I didn't have an Arca-compatible mount on my ball head. Yes, you can use the notch on the side of any ball head to get your vertical shots, but in so doing you have to re-level your head and re-aim the camera. Once I got an Arca compatible mount, I bought this 3-Legged Thing L-bracket. Wow, what a difference. Vertical shots are now a breeze. The bracket is truly universal. It's fully adjustable along the base of your DSLR. It comes with a convenient wrench combo carabiner that lets you very quickly install, remove, or adjust the L-bracket. I was concerned whether the ports on the left side of my old Canon 60D would be accessible (remote shutter, etc.) but the bracket is so easy to loosen and tighten that it's very quick to loosen, slide the bracket slightly to the left, plug in the necessary cable, then tighten the bracket. The bracket stays on my camera in the bag. It's light and I don't notice the change in weight. I can grab my camera and have it on the tripod almost instantly, in either orientation. Fewer missed shots! I don't know how I got along without it!

Fits Canon 90D

This fits on the 90D well, while still allowing access to all of the ports (mic, headphone, remote trigger) as well as the battery compartment.

question

How does it work on the Canon 5d IV regarding the battery door and the remote cable port on the 5d IV? Thanks
Asked by: Percy
Our universal L-bracket will work for switching between portrait and landscape whilst maintaining the sensor in a similar position on the same focal plane. If you need access to the battery and/or cable doors then you might find you have to move the bracket out slightly to do so. As long as the bracket is tight, it is still safe to use.

I’m not sure if it will work on your canon. It’s definitely not made to work with a battery grip though.

Has anybody used this with a Nikon D780? I'm not sure if the D750 has the same footprint as the D780 but if it has I could live with the D750/3 Legged Thing incompatibility.

It's a universal bracket that will fit nearly all dslr/mirrorless cameras for switching between landscape to portrait.
