When the 37mm PowerUV Protector Filter is applied, 50% of ultraviolet light waves are blocked at 380 nanometers, before which they are progressively eliminated, helping to limit the light that enters a camera to the visible spectrum. The appearance of blue casts that can occur while recording video or still photos under daylight that also features ultraviolet light is reduced, preserving color accuracy throughout the frame.

Aurora Aperture PowerUV Protector filters are constructed from Gorilla Glass 3 for enhanced scratch resistance while providing over 99.6% transmission of visible light. This 37mm PowerUV Protector Filter features a 3.6mm thick aluminum alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight. It minimizes the potential for vignetting and includes corresponding 37mm front filter threads for use with other screw-on filters.

To help eliminate internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface of the 37mm PowerUV Protector Filter features 8 layers of anti-reflection coatings. The nano coating associated with the 37mm PowerUV Protector Filter provides an additional layer that allows for more efficient cleaning when its surfaces come in contact with dust, dirt, water, or oil.
