Multi-Function USB Type-C Dock (Gold) is rated 2.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from 'Not compatible with 2017 MacBook?' I ordered this from B&H along with a 2017 Macbook. Upon arrival the dock had a slip of paper inside the box that says "not compatible with 2017 macbook". Mine seems to work fine with both the USB connections and mini-dispay port equipped 27 inch apple cinema display. The monitor would periodically flick off and on the first time I used it, but it seems to be fine now. Looks good and is practical. A little expensive, but necessary for me to make the single-usb-c equipped Macbook useable as both a travel laptop and as a my desktop with legacy monitor, camera, and external hard drives attached. Cheaper than buying a new monitor I guess!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's good, but far from perfect I bought this to use with my Mac Book Pro, and it works ok. My two major issues with this dock is that 1. sometimes when I'm running demanding applications it will not provide enough power to the computer and I have to plug the standard USB-C cable that apple provides with my Mac and 2. the mini display port is not supporting the target display mode in my iMac (but this might be because my iMac has actually a thunderbolt 2 port, instead of a mini display port). Overall it seams very well built and it probably solve most of what it's designed to solve for most of people, so a strongly recommend it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't bother If you are any kind of professional user you won't like this device. - The audio port has a horrible electrical noise when no laptop is plugged in. - Mini-display port - only mini-display port. No adapters. Tried 6 different high-end brands. - USB-C output port - Only for data transfers - USB 3.0 ports - Keep dropping out on this unit when doing drive transfers. So far it's corrupted 3 of them. - Can only use the USB-C cable it comes with. Not even Apple cables will work (Guessing this is a bandwidth issue that I haven't found documentation on)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Well, I could raise review This dock is a replacement for a different type that didnt work (or did it). I plugged replugged booted rebooted before my iMac sees this unit and second monitor. I bought "them" to use a cinema display w/mini displayport connector as a second display w/my new 2017 iMac and add ports etc. When it connects it is a great setup. But i have yet to find the proper method and mouth holding to consistently get connection. Frustrating. Any suggestion i would rate higher if it would readily connect.
