It connects to your computer via USB, using MIDI protocol to control channel levels, panning positions, and other mixing decisions. On each channel you’ll not only find a 100mm motorized fader with 10-bit resolution, but also backlit buttons to quickly mute, solo, and record-enable your tracks.

Is it only the control surface or is the LCD screen shown also included?

I am planning to purchase one of this not able to decide to go with qcon pro vs platform M+. Will this unit help to use all automation and plugin features to work with logic prox and reason older version 6.5. Reason is not listed for the Qon Pro.

do you need the screen to map plugin parameters onto the knobs?
All you need to map the knobs, faders, etc is the downloadable Platform M+ iMap control application. Everything can be programmed from within the application if your platform M+ is connected to your computer.

No, the LCD screen is extra. the unit, however, works well without the added monitor
