Safely align your dedicated solar telescope, or a conventional scope outfitted with a solar filter, using the black Mr. StarGuy Solar Finder. It is designed to fit most finderscope dovetail mounting shoes, so installation and alignment with the OTA is fast and easy. It employs a simple projection technique where sunlight enters through a pinhole in the front and is projected onto a small screen in the back. When the dot of sunlight is centered on the screen, the sun should be visible in an eyepiece.

Solar Finder (Black) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would definitely recommend this product This solar finder is easy to use, and really made a difference for me finding the sun when imaging the eclipse through my telescope. I used a practice session prior to the day of the event to calibrate the finder, once I had the sun in the center of my telescope field of view. The calibration is quick and easy to do using the adjustment built into the finder. Once it was dialed in it proved to be very helpful in finding the sun, and also proved handy to show that the sun was staying in the FOV as time went by. A great product, and now a critical part of my solar imaging setup going forward.
