Key Features
- 24.2MP DX-Format CMOS Sensor
- EXPEED 4 Image Processor
- No Optical Low-Pass Filter
- 3.2" 1,037k-Dot Vari-Angle LCD Monitor
The black Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera features a DX-format 24.2 megapixel sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD video with notable low-light sensitivity to ISO 12800 and a fast continuous shooting rate of 5 fps. The sensor design omits the traditional optical low-pass filter in order to gain the utmost sharpness and resolution from both photos and videos. Complementing the imaging assets are both a versatile 39-point autofocus system, with nine cross-type sensors, and a 2,016-pixel RGB sensor for precise exposure metering in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Additionally, 1920 x 1080p movie recording is supported, in multiple frame rates up to 60 fps, with full-time continuous auto focusing capabilities.

question
Why is it refurb?
Refurbished items like this one for many reasons did not meet early quality controls at the factory so were not shipped initially. After testing, a manufacturer may determine a product meets all the specifications but does not want it sold as new. This item has never been sold, meets the advertised specifications and includes a warranty which may be shorter than the original one offered for a new item. Refurbished products include all of the original OEM accessories but will not qualify for incentive promotions, instant savings or rebates. They do however have extended service plans available.

Is better buying this kit or the m50 with the kit lens or canon 77d with the kit lens?
Which camera would be "better" between the Nikon D5300 DSLR Camera with 18-55mm and 70-300mm Lenses (Black, Refurbished by Nikon USA), the Canon EOS M50 Mark II Mirrorless Camera (Black), and the Canon EOS 77D DSLR Camera (Body Only) would depend on both personal preference and on your specific shooting needs and/or how you plan to use the camera. All three of the above cameras have similar performance, but for video usage needs or for speed, I may recommend the Canon EOS M50 as it shoots 4K video and has a maximum 10 frames per second continuous burst shooting speed. However, the Nikon D5300 and Canon EOS 77D both have much larger lens libraries that will natively connect to the camera for a wider variety of framing options, and both would have 3 times the battery life per charge and stronger built-in flash.
