Lenovo P320 Tiny overview

  • 1Description

Designed for those who need an ISV-certified workstation that is well-suited for industries such as finance, design, education, and healthcare, the ThinkStation P320 Series Tiny Workstation from Lenovo is 96% smaller than a traditional workstation. Compact and versatile, it can fit just about anywhere, horizontally or vertically, such as on a wall, under a desk, or behind a monitor. The system is powered by a 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7-7700T Quad-Core processor that can deliver extra performance by increasing the clock speed up to 3.8 GHz utilizing Intel's Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The 16GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM allows the computer to run multiple applications simultaneously and also to quickly access frequently used files and programs. This ThinkStation P320 Tiny is able to support two 260-pin SO-DIMM slots which can be upgraded to 16GB per slot for a total of 32GB of RAM.

For long-term storage of your files, this system is equipped with a 512GB Opal NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. If you want to add external storage drives or other peripherals, the ThinkStation P320 features six USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as an always-on charging port. The dedicated single-slot NVIDIA Quadro P600 graphics card has 2GB of GDDR5 RAM and delivers a sharp, clear picture while allowing for up to four directly connected displays to be used simultaneously via its four Mini DisplayPort 1.4 outputs at resolutions up to 5120 x 2880 @ 60 Hz. For those who require additional displays, the integrated Intel HD Graphics 630 chipset can drive another two monitors using two DisplayPort outputs, for a total of six independent displays. Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or playing a game, the integrated Realtek ALC294 audio controller outputs high-definition audio and delivers higher fidelity than standard audio controllers.

Lenovo's ThinkStation P320 Tiny Workstation includes a USB keyboard, a USB mouse, a 135W AC/DC adapter, and a floor stand. The installed operating system is Windows 10 Professional (64-bit).

General Features

Gigabit Ethernet
An integrated Gigabit Ethernet controller, the Intel I219LM, provides Internet access when connected to a router, modem, or network switch. It also supports Wake on LAN (WoL).
802.11ac Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.1
For those who want to connect to the Internet wirelessly, there is integrated 802.11ac dual-band Wi-Fi, and additional compatible peripherals, such as keyboards, mice, and headsets can be connected using Bluetooth 4.1 technology.
6 x USB 3.0 Type-A Ports
The ThinkStation P320 Tiny Workstation features six USB 3.0 Type-A ports that will allow you to connect external peripherals such as hard drives, printers, and memory card readers. At 5 Gb/s, USB 3.0 transfers data up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0, which operates at 480 Mb/s. USB 3.0's high-speed transfer rate helps to significantly reduce data transfer times, meaning you spend less time waiting and more time focusing on the task at hand
Packs a Punch
At less than 3 pounds, the ThinkStation P320 Tiny is a small workstation that features Intel processing technology, NVIDIA professional graphics, ISV-certification, and fast storage options. Please note that NVIDIA Quadro P600 graphics card renders the empty 2.5" SATA drive bay unusable.
Tiny Footprint, Big Statement
At 96% smaller than a traditional workstation, the ThinkStation P320 Tiny is extremely compact. It's also very versatile and can fit just about anywhere, horizontally or vertically. Mount it on a wall, under a desk, or even behind a monitor to create a modular all-in-one.
Realize Your Potential
Supporting up to six independent displays, this tiny workstation is well-suited for tasks from finance to design and education to healthcare. ISV-certification makes the ThinkStation P320 Tiny a good choice across industries, helping to ensure a consistent and accurate software experience. What's more is that with the Lenovo Performance Tuner application, you can optimize system settings and maximize performance.
Leave Your Screwdrivers Behind
With tool-free accessibility, the ThinkStation P320 Tiny is every IT tech's dream. The bottom door opens for access to memory and storage, and has a wireless internal and external LAN antenna for better connectivity.
Built for Business, Tested for Life
The ThinkStation P320 Tiny passes 12 extreme military stress tests and 200 rigorous quality checks. It can endure arctic temperatures of -4°F to the desert heat of 140°F.

Windows 10

Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned. Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items.
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone. Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns over time to improve her information gathering skills.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its Internet Explorer web browser. With Microsoft Edge, users can write directly on web pages and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without leaving your browser.
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store. Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place. And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all your compatible devices automatically.
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach, but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well.
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows 10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the Oculus Rift.
Windows 10 Pro
The Pro version of Windows 10 includes all of the features of Windows 10 Home plus many designed specifically for businesses users, including Hyper-V virtualization, BitLocker disk encryption, and remote desktop access. Devices will also be able to join domains and the Azure Active Directory, and they can even access a specialized version of the Windows Store featuring custom, company-specific applications.
