ATEN True 4K HDMI Splitter Reviews

Using for Capture Card / Console

Using this splitter with my Xbox One X and Datapath VisionLC capture card. I have 2 monitors 25560x1440 and 1920x1200 - the Xbox One X - Input Aten Splitter - Output 1 to Capture Card - Output 2 to 25560x1440P monitor. The device sits in a well built enclosure, looks great and has good weight which adds to the solid feel. Connections are solid and the LED lights are green (pretty bright) the 1 and 2 LEDs turn on once it detects signals back and forth. Would I purchase again? Yes. I have ran into an issue which could be caused by using different resolutions or could be HDMI cables not being the same spec. I am ordering C-HM/HM/PRO-10 cables for connections in and out of the device to see if this fixes the random flickering that sometimes the console does when my capture card is displaying on my PC the other monitor sometimes shuts off. I have had it happen twice but unplugged and replugged everything in and updated the drivers to everything and it seems to be fine. This could be due to HDMI cables (purchasing 3 to eliminate that) or could be resolution related. - add a resistor to dim the LEDs or use a less intense LED -
