question

With the Formatt Hitech 77mm Firecrest Neutral Density 5.4 Solar Eclipse Filter (18 stops) can I safely look through the viewfinder? Or, must I look through live view to be safe? I found the information on the web site to be confusing and I found responses to similar questions to be conflicting.
Asked by: Tom H.
I think it's up to each person to make the best decision in regards to their safety concerns, in my case I will use the viewfinder to line up the sun and then switch to live view to keep the sun centered and focused so I don't have to look through the viewfinder for long periods of time.

question

Does this screw on?
Asked by: Erin L.
Yes it does. It worked fine on Canon 70-200. Got some some good images of the solar eclipse and was able to quickly unscrew it right before totality and then screw it back on two minutes later.
