Whether in a point-to-point or point-to-multipoint configuration, your HDMI or SDI signal is carried with a low latency rate of less than 1 ms over the license-free 5 GHz frequency band. A minimum distance of 492' (150 m) is ensured, while the maximum distance is 985' line-of-sight. (The kit has even been successfully tested at much longer distances in open spaces.) The set is also capable of HDMI/SDI cross conversion, so you can input a signal via HDMI and output through SDI, or vice versa.

Small obstacles in the line of sight are compensated for by an adaptive signal logarithm, keeping your signal connected. For safety, signals dropped due to interference or loss of line of sight are automatically relinked within 1 ms of the obstacle being removed — auto-relink and improved hardware for a more stable connection are the new features in the V2 version. Other features of the set include AES-128 signal encryption and plug-and-play installation.

Will a transmitter connected to an output on an ATEM switcher send the SDI video back to a receiver on the camera without suppressing/compressing the ancillary data of the SDI return signal? I use an ATEM Television Studio Pro HD, and use the SDI outputs to remote control focus, zoom, color correction and tally lights for our Blackmagic Studio HD cameras.
Asked by: Rebecca
The manufacturer's specifications for this device are all related to the video signal transmission. Ancillary data support is not specified.

question

What about power consumption?
Asked by: Anonymous
You can power these by small battery, big battery or AC power. V mount or gold mount should last the shoot day. Smaller batteries should last about 3-4 hours depending on how you use them.

Is this kit working smoothly and well by sending the signal from the hdmi out port of the atomos ninja flame ? (I know for example that paralinx have some compatibilities problems) Thanks!
Asked by: Joaquim B.
We have not heard of configuration problems such as you mentioned. That is not to say they do not exist but that we have not heard of them. We can say we see no glaring reasons why this would not work as you wish.
