The white 12X-NDI Broadcast and Conference Camera from PTZOptics provides automated camera control and high-resolution video output on a variety of networks and location setups. It is ideal for streaming applications, houses of worship, sports streaming, live productions and events, and whenever you only have a single operator and/or multiple cable runs might be an issue.
The camera allows you to output up to a 1080p60 signal simultaneously via HDMI, 3G-SDI, and NDI|HX / IP outputs. The camera also has a composite output that can be used on its own to deliver 576i/480i SD resolution. An analog stereo audio line input provides audio embedding into HDMI and NDI/IP streams.
The 12X-NDI comes with a NewTek NDI license, so you're set to go right out of the box. The NDI protocol, NewTek's innovative IP technology, gives you low-latency access to audio and video devices anywhere on your network for various A/V applications. You won't be restricted to sources connected directly to a single system.
The 12X-NDI has a 3.5 to 42.3mm lens providing a 12x zoom range, which is ideal for smaller meeting rooms and classrooms, or for wide shots in larger spaces. The camera does well in low-light conditions owing to a fast f/1.8 to 2.8 lens aperture and a minimum illumination requirement of only 0.5 lux. A built-in wide dynamic range and 2D and 3D noise reduction further enhance the conferencing experience.
Hardware Control Options
The 12X-NDI can be powered over PoE or using the included power supply. It offers RS-232 and RS-485 serial control and 10 presets via the included IR remote control or 255 via serial or IP control. PTZOptics offers hardware joystick controllers such as the IP joystick, serial joystick, or the SuperJoy.
The camera offers H.264, H.265, and MJPEG streaming over an RJ45 port and also features SRT support to send high-quality, low-latency videos securely over the Internet. The NDI cameras can also live stream directly to content-delivery networks such as Facebook and YouTube.
Use PTZ controls built-in to your favorite video production software such as OBS, Livestream Studio, Wirecast, vMix, mimoLive, or Tricaster. There is also free IP control application for macOS or Windows, open-source control software on GitHub, the PTZOptics OBS plugin, or even mobile device control options on smartphones. The camera is completely open-source, so developers can customize everything, as they prefer using a simple web interface.
