Peak Design L-BL-3 Overview

This black Leash Camera Strap from Peak Design is designed to provide you with the ability to quickly and easily detach a connected camera from it, so you can move only the camera to a tripod, or connect another camera to the strap. This is made possible using the included Anchor Links. Each Anchor Link is rated to hold 200 pounds and creates a durable, snap-in or snap-out connection point to a strap eyelet on a wide variety of cameras. The strap length is adjustable from 32.6 to 57.1" and is 0.8" wide. Integrated adjustment loops allow the length of the Leash to be quickly changed while in use.

Constructed with twist-resistant nylon webbing, you can use it as a neck or shoulder strap, or wear it as a cross-body strap whether you are right- or left-handed, draped from one shoulder to the opposing hip. When used along with an Anchor Link, the included Anchor Mount can create a connection point using a camera's 1/4"-20 bottom accessory thread. By attaching the Leash along a bottom accessory thread and one strap eyelet instead of two, a camera can be made to consistently face forward while against the hip, reducing the time needed by the user to raise it to their eye and capture an image.

  • Use as a neck, shoulder, or cross-body strap whether you are right- or left-handed
  • Constructed from twist-resistant, nylon webbing
  • Provides the ability to quickly and easily detach a connected camera for purposes such as moving only the camera to a tripod, or connecting another camera to the strap

As some one who takes my neckstrap off my camera a LOT, I find the leash and it's snap on and off the easiest and quickest system out there.

Excelent strap for my A6400 mirrorless camera

It's the perfect camera strap, very comfortable to carry with little space and even fashionable, a downside would be that the quick adjusters don't work as great as they're supposed to do so you can actually adjust the length without putting you finger in them, which is not a problem for me so far but I guess they should work only when you want them to adjust using your finger.

Great Overall, could use tweaks

Great product, and good length with ability to shorten on both sides if needed. Would like a swivel at the latch to reduce twisting of the little snaps that connect to the camera, sometimes they get all wound up while im hiking with the strap and twist around. Also I think my rubber may be on the wrong side, it leaves the clips facing in instead of out which causes them to get stuck sometimes on my zippers.

The best for me

There is no better way to carry your rig

Having a good carrying solution is essential to having fun taking pictures. The flexibility you get with the peak design leash is unbelievable. It's just two clicks to take off or attach the leash to the camera which is super convenient. Besides that, you can easily and quickly adjust the length of your leach. Those two things stand out on their own. Additionally, the quality of the product is superb. Loving it like on the first day of owning it!

Got this to go with the lens kit, its quite thin and easy to pack, and very easy to resize. Decently comfortable, and looks nice, I would recommend it!

small and secure, attractive and versatile

If you've tried any other peak design strap, this is more of the same, just thinner and easier to stow away. The quick release is a game-changer and I've been converted to putting anchors on my camera, binoculars, even my phone case. I especially like that it's small enough to roll up and pack just about anywhere, and also that it comes in my favorite color! (the sage green is beautiful)

Will I be able to thread the connectors through the niplets on a Sony RX100, or will I need to bridge this system with something like 6mm split rings?
Asked by: David
I do not have an RX100 but it works for my A6000 and A6400. Both of those have small triangular split rings that are connected to small holes on each side of the camera bodies. I don't think the connectors will fit through the holes on the camera without the split rings.

Can I use this strap for binoculars?
Asked by: Anthony
I don't own a pair of binoculars. But, I would say yes. The leash is thin enough and definitely strong enough to carry the binoculars. The strap is flexible enough to fold and store in your pocket when not in use. As long as the length suits your needs. I think you would like the strap for your needs.
