Jason Cases SM1303BU Reviews
Good case for monitor, but no space for sun shade
It's a sturdy pelican case with good cut out for monitor, but kind of poorly designed cutouts for everything else. Monitors fits fine, the only issue is SD card gets too much pressure from the foam. My SD card broke inside of the monitor slot from the top lid foam pressure. Later I had to cut out a piece of foam in the top lid for SD card, so it won't break again. Compartments for accessories are too small, you barely can fit anything there. There is so much space in the case that could be used for storing extra cables and arms, but it wasn't cut out. No space specifically designed for AC power block, it only fits right behind monitor and you need to know how to place it properly, so it doesn't interfere with stand pin mount. I believe it doesn't fit with original SmallHD power plate (I have a custom one, that is thinner). And you have to cur out more foam in the case to be able leave the power plate plugged into XLR port. The biggest drawback is lack of space for sun shade. I'm not sure why it was missed out. I had to cut out from in the top lid to make space for it. After spending a couple hours modifying the case, it became almost perfect for this monitor and it's accessories.
Meh.
Fits the 1303, battery plate, and smallHD babypin mount. That's all. None of the other accessories will fit. You either get to hold them loose or find another case. You can NOT fit the following: - AC power block for house power. - SmallHD sunhood (without crushing the screen)
