Zoom L-12 Overview

The highly flexible Zoom LiveTrak L-12 is a 12-channel digital mixer and multitrack recorder, well suited for live performances, studio recording, band rehearsals, podcasts, and more. The compact mixer features 8 mono channels, each with combo mic/line XLR-1/4" inputs with high gain, low-noise microphone preamps, +48V phantom power, and a single compression knob, while the two stereo inputs offer dual 1/4" and RCA inputs. The main output utilizes balanced XLR outputs, while a stereo monitor send is available via two 1/4" outputs. Additionally, the Zoom LiveTrack L-12 offers five headphone outputs, each with the ability to set up customized mixes. Simply connect your headphones and adjust the levels to taste. There are nine snap-shot presets, which allow you instant recall of different setups and sessions.

The built-in SD recorder can simultaneously record every channel and the master fader stereo signal output for a total of 14 tracks at resolutions up to 24-bit / 96 kHz. Files can easily be copied to a computer and used in a DAW. In addition, overdubbing and punching in/out can be done as expected when using the unit as a multi-track recorder. How does the Latency Adjustment work? Looking at ...

How does the Latency Adjustment work? Looking at the manual, there is only an ON or OFF function. Is there a way to manually delay the output? For example in the Zoom F8n, you can delay the output by a number of frames. I'd like to delay the output of this mixer because it's going to a video switcher and I know if someday I use HDMI inputs, the video will be delayed and then the sound will be slightly off. I'd hate to take the output of the mix and feed it back into a camera to feed it back to the video switcher if I don't have to

Hi, I bought L-12 and I am unable to use it as audio interface, but it works fine as stand alone. I put the selection switch to audio interface and downloaded the drive for windows for my desktop and select ASIO then the zoon L-12 is selected but doesn't show any tracks. Am I doing anything wrong here?
Asked by: Santu
@Bob, Thanks for the help. Yes BOB, I tried several times bu the Zoom L-12 is not working and I don't want to restart random and reboot randomly just to make it work in DAW. Recently bought Motu M2 and it works flawlessly. in REAPER and in ABLETON. It was 2 years back I got the zoomL-12 and I kept it in shelf just it didn't work in DAW. My problem is I am in Nepal and I asked my friend to get it for me, he got it from Norway when he was here in vacation and left after few weeks so I can't return. Well but it works standalone. Last week I was doing 2hrs of the live session every day for 2 weeks and then I needed the zoom but again it didn't work as Interface so I used it as a mixer and then output to MOTU M2 which was my USB interface. I don't want to use 2 audio devices for one job, thats all. Well lets see, Zoom has responded and emailed me lets see. Will send them VDO of whole process how I am working so they can find solution.
