Genaray 14 Flood Overview

This Spectro LED-14 Flood Light from Genaray is a daylight-balanced fixture equipped with 600 LEDs. The round 14.5" light has a beam angle of 120° and provides 10-100% dimming with a maximum power output of 120W. It features a high CRI rating of 96 to ensure color accuracy regardless of your subject or dimming settings.

In a field dominated by rectangular or square arrays, Genaray has made their studio lights circular. Not only does the increased surface area have more wraparound light characteristics but the shape renders pleasing, natural-looking catchlights in your subject's eyes. You can soften the output by slipping the included diffusion sock over the reflector or by using an optional Octa softbox specifically designed for this product. Heat is never a concern since the cool-running LEDs are barely warm to the touch.

Another way to soften the quality of light is to use the umbrella socket that is built into the mount. You can use reflective or translucent umbrellas for bounce or shoot-through effects. The socket accepts 7 or 8mm shafts and the mount has a 65° tilting range for perfect placement.

Power is provided by an included multi-voltage power supply and adapter that accepts 100-240 VAC. The light mounts to any compatible 5/8" Baby Pin stand and can be paired with an optional Genaray MB-WRT remote for easy wireless operation.

  • Round, 14.5" LED fixture with daylight color temperature of 5600K and high CRI of 96
  • Wide beam angle of 120° allows the light to pair with an optional Octa softbox for soft and even illumination
  • Included diffusion sock goes over the reflector and optional umbrellas attach via a dedicated socket
  • Can be dimmed from 10 to 100% with onboard control knob, complete with LED readout for viewing brightness setting
  • Wireless dimming possible with optional Genaray MB-WRT remote
  • Runs on 100-240 VAC power with included adapter
  • Mounts to any compatible light stand with standard 5/8" Baby Pin

Extremely Disappointed

Dimmer doesn't work on one. Something is rattling around inside the other one. Pitiful. Will not by this brand again, ever.

This light delivers!

I've done several shoots with just this light alone, its so powerful. I have the optional octobox that goes with it, and that is wonderful too. Would definitely recommend. Solid.

Got this on deal zone. I really liked this product, but I wish I could change the color temperature. I use it every now and then for video shoots primarily. I still need to get a stand for it. The defuser (extra cost) over the front is essential, otherwise you get harsh lighting.

Good amount of soft light with diffuser attached. Great price when on-sale.

Versatile - super bright for video work, dimmable for photos

The light exceeded my expectations. I needed a light to film lectures from across a room, while simultaneously streaming them. The 105W fluorescent lights that I am currently using would produce a slight green cast, that I had to remove in post. Since using these lights, I found the colors in my live recordings, streaming videos and photos much more vivid, accurate. Not just that, as this is a flood, one light was sufficient to light up the entire room (300-500 sft) room at level 80 brightness (max is 99) and w/ the reflected light off the walls - photos from any angle came out much better. I can also bounce this light off the ceiling to bring down a flood of light into the room for a more diffused light. The included sock diffuser requires 4 hands to fix but does the job well.

Nice bright light source.

It works well, and seems to have aml\ple brightness for head shots. For full length portraits, I will prolbably have to work with a little higher ISO setting, or try it without the baffle and Octabox, but I like the soft quality of the diffusion they provide.

good value

This produces a good amount of light and control for its price range. It seems sturdy. I have three of these lights and experienced no quality issues after a combined 24 months (16, 4, 4) of weekly, if not daily, use. The add-on softbox works well, too.
