Can this be used for the audio of a video recording, meaning can it be plugged into a video camera or used it with a smartphone came to get a better sound?
Asked by: Nikolay
If this wireless audio capture device is not appropriate for cameras and smartphones, then what wireless solutions are there that actually work with the full video capture capabilities of higher-end smartphones? There seem to be no good solutions for capturing remote mic audio into smartphones being used for video.

question

Does it record internally or does it record only to an iOS device? Wouldn't latency be a problem for overdubbing if it is wifi-only, or does it connect directly with the charge/sync cable?
Asked by: Yarrow
Can only confirm that the iPhone app is only a remote for the Spire studio. No sync problems, everything is happening in the device. Not to mention that Izotope are one of the most respected pro company: processing and effects are of the outmost quality. A mic, Izotope processing and a multitrack recording device for that price, quite impressive, and fun.
