This 4 x 6" Hard-Edge Graduated ND Resin Filter Set consists of Lee Grad ND filters in grades of 0.3 (1 stop), 0.6 (2 stops), and 0.9 (3 stops). They allow the transition to be blended into the scene, often imperceptibly. question
What is a difference between rasin filters and hard edge filters?
Resin is the material the filter is made of, unrelated to whether it is hard/soft transition. Hard/soft edge refers to how gradual the transition is from filtered to unfiltered area of the filter. Hard gives a more sudden transition, generally for following a horizon line. Soft gives a more gradual transition and therefore also less noticeable.

question
What is the difference between the Hard and Soft GND filters?
The Hard GND has a more sudden transition between ND filtered and unfiltered area, intended for filtering along a clear and straight line- generally a horizon line. The soft GND transitions over a wider area, giving a less apparent effect between ND filtered and unfiltered area of an image.
