I'm curious how this is an X/Y Stereo AND Omni Mic? Are the left and right outputs discreet, or is it a Mono Omni mic, or is there some sort of switch to go between?

Is this really omnidirectional? Because saramonic website says the following: "The Saramonic SR-XMS2 is a broadcast-quality cardioid stereo lavalier microphone". It says "cardioid", not omnidirectional. Thanks in advance.

Not without a TRS to TRRS adapter, like the Saraomonic SR-UC201 adapter. For a cavalier that is ready for smartphones, please see the Saramonic LavMicro or LavMicro2M.
