This plate can hold a Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plate (instead of a arca-type)?
Asked by: ANDRE
No. This *is* a Manfrotto-style plate, that has an Arca-Swiss style clamp. It is used to adapt common Manfrotto tripod heads to accept a camera that has an Arca-style plate.

Will this adapter work to convert a Gitzo G2272M head to Arca Swiss L bracket?
Asked by: Doug
No, the gitzo quick release receiver is incompatible with the manfrotto 501 series plates that ProMedia uses on this adapter. You could consider attaching an adapter like Kirk QRC-2.6 Arca-Type Quick Release Clamp to your Gitzo quick release plate by way of the 1/4" thread you would normally attach to your camera. You'll also need a 1/4" to 3/8" Tripod Adapter/Bushing. This is not an ideal solution because you can still get loosening and twist where the Gitzo plate attaches to the Kirk adapter.

This plate can hold a Manfrotto 200PL (instead of an arca type)?
Asked by: ANDRE
Technically, no. It is meant to hold an arca-swiss plate. However, you might be able to use a dual-style plate like the Peak Design Arca/200PL dual plate (https://bhpho.to/3kBB3ZA) which claims to work in both arca-swiss and Manfrotto RC2.

Will this plate fit a Manfrotto 502AH head? If so, is there a diagram or vid of how to attach it (I can't figure it out), if not, can you please link me to one that will fit? There is not one clearly listed as compatible. Thanks!
Asked by: Jacob
Before going to the Manfrotto 502AH I had a Kessler Kwick Release Receiver ($139 @ Kessler.com). I mounted the Kessler to the Manfrotto-Type Quick Release Plate so that the front of the Kessler (nameplate) is flush with the FRONT( the BACK is where the Manfrotto plate inserts into the 502AH) end of the Manfrotto-Type Quick Release Plate. The Manfrotto-Type Quick Release Plate can only attach in one direction. I used 1/4" screw and 3/8" screw to attach the Kessler to the Manfrotto Plate (alignment for two screws is possible with this positioning). It provides a stable attachment. The Kessler Kwick Release operates freely on the Manfrotto plate and holds your equipment tightly. Not inexpensive but a small price to pay compared to a lesser attachment that might fail.

If you need a 3 way pan and tilt head that's Arca compatible consider Induro PHQ1 and PHQ3 heads.

question

Would this plate work on a Sachtler FSB8 head? Want to adapt to a Nikon DSLR with an L-bracket.
Asked by: Anonymous
Hi!The fitting is the same, but the PM501 is shorter as Tony P said. I tested it on my Sachtler Ace and I could fasten it ... But I do not think I would dare to put a camera on it. There are other ways. Use the FSB8 plate and put another arca swiss compatible plate on that one ... /Jonas
